When I speak english, I tend to be clear. I like to pronounce every single word well. I hafta to change that, especially because all native speakers tend to speak quickly and they use reductions all the time. Thanks for your tips, Vanessa.
I've had no problem understanding fast english but wasn't able to speak naturally and fast myself :(( practicing your pronunciation lessons has helped me improve my speaking a lot. thank you so much 😍
I'll be much happier if you see this comment. I really just wanna say thank you, Vanessa! You're the most incredible tutor that I admire the most. I've been learning English just by watching your videos and now I can talk to native speakers around me. I have nothing to give you but I just want to let you know you're our big assistance. I appreciate every content you on the videos.
This lesson was extremely helpful, engaging and beautiful just like any other Vanessa's English lesson. She's so kind, patient and friendly while explaining different things in a very detailed, understandable way. Knowing super common English reductions is truly important for having a better understanding of the spoken language in daily life, I know it is difficult to grasp at first glance but with a lot of regular practice it will become easier than we usually expect over time. I'm nearly the advanced level of English and my language ability is still increasing. Thank you so much as always for your wonderful English lessons Vanessa, I love you as well as them ❤😊. I also love the enchanting English-speaking world.
Hi teacher, Nice to meet to you. Your lessons are so good to learn. I wanna study English with your lesson. I wanna improve my english's pronunciation. I was studying alone but when i knew your Channel in the TH-cam i didnt get to stop watch anymore. Thank Very much by lessons.
This lesson really helps me alot in speaking and reading. It is really awkward to read each word fully in an English sentence unless they are reduced. Thank you Vanessa!
This is totally new for me. That's whay is so difficult to understand native speakers. Thanks a lot for this awesome class. Greetings and blessings from Colombia dear Vanessa.
Hi Vanessa, thank you for your wonderfull lessons. Your reduction symbols were very helpful to understand how they actually sound. your/yer (Simple as that?), our/r( I doubted at first, but it sure sounds that way!) , his/is (Wow, it's a be-verb!), that/thet (I've never thought of [thet] !), to/t (There's not even a syllable here!), going to/unna ( Yes, I hear "I'm unna" in dramas all the time! How could I not notice?) especially helped me get the 'feeling' of it. The hardest one is your/yer. I can pronounce it alright, but when I come across in sentences, I have a sort of a mental block to pronounce 'yer' for 'your' probably because I think of the meaning instead of the sound. I guess it's going to take some time, but I try. Well, thanks a lot!
Hi Vanessa, I am Sahithi of grade 7.I always watch your videos whenever I am free. I want to speak like a native American and finally it happened because of you. Thank you so much! I hope you will upload more videos which will help other people like me to learn English fluently. 😃😃
I loved this video and it reminded me something. You guys who wanna check out more examples about pronunciation should check out the website Youglish, you look the word you're not sure about how it's pronounced and you'll be able to check out plenty if examples, not only that but you can also check out words pronounced in American, British and Australian English. You should definitely check it out, it's one of the best English websites hands down.
Hi Vanessa, this lesson for me is simply amazing. I've been learning English for 3 years starting as beginner, now I'm at intermediate level, I'd like to push up my level and this is the kind of information useful to me, because as I started to listen to more advanced conversations, I found troubles in reductions. I believe this video gonna be a routine for many days: super useful! Warm regards from Italy :)
Hi Vanessa, the reduction I've never heard before was "uh uh uh" for "I don't know". The most hard to pronounce fluently for me are: "her" and "our", especially when they're followed by a vowel sound such as "our own"
Thank you Vanessa for your explanation. Although it was 4 years ago, I am watching it now. Thank you very much, I will continue watching other of yr videos, thank you.

Hi Vanessa, the reduction I've never heard before was "uh uh uh" for "I don't know". The most hard to pronounce fluently for me are: "her" and "our", especially when they're followed by a vowel sound such as "our own"
A fun quirk with "uh uh uh" is that it's effectively _tonal,_ as in it needs the low-high-low melody in order to actually mean "I don't know."
Going to reduced to unna is very new to me, but I listen to natives speaks that way. thank you so much.
