We are excited to announce the launch of the Global Governance Initiative's innovative program, GGI Tech Policy 2024.
This initiative is designed to bridge the existing gap between technical education and policy-making, specifically tailored for roles in top tech companies like Google, Meta, Uber, and others.
Program Structure:
The GGI Tech Policy experience is structured into three distinct pillars, each focusing on a different set of skills and knowledge areas. Our inaugural cohorts in January and February will be limited in size to ensure an extraordinary learning experience.
Pillar 1: Fundamentals
Focus: This pillar lays the foundation by covering market failures, public policy, economics, Python programming, AI for policy analysis, engineering science, and statistics.
Methodology: The approach is unconventional. Scholars will engage in analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving rather than traditional rote learning.
Instructors: All courses will be taught by experienced industry practitioners to ignite a passion for the subjects.
Pillar 2: Advanced Topics
Subjects:
A. Ethical AI for Global Impact
B. Liberal Arts
C. Product Management in Government and Tech Platforms
D. Impact Investing
Preparation: Scholars must complete mandatory pre-readings before attending masterclasses.
Integration: This pillar complements and builds on the fundamentals learned in Pillar 1.
Pillar 3: Soft Skills and Leadership
Focus: The third pillar is dedicated to enhancing soft skills, communication abilities, and entrepreneurial thinking, crucial for policy leaders.
Unique Approach: Scholars will learn to approach challenges like a consultant from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Objective: The goal is to develop well-rounded policy leaders proficient in both basic and advanced concepts, policy knowledge, and soft skills.
Beyond the Program:
Duration: The formal program concludes in June for the first cohort.
Alumni Network: Graduates become part of the GGI alumni family.
Career Opportunities: Alumni will have access to employment opportunities through our partners.

There's a different between knowledge and education. I was educated a lot in school, college, coaching. But knowledge comes through videos like yours.
I wonder utube recommended me , and i take a long breath after watching it .thanks .
No ISPP was roasted in this video. But to he honest, one of the most useful video. A very close friend to admission into ISPP - he had a pathetic time, with no jobs. You ahve no idea naman sir - but you are indeed saving lives of millions of Indians. More power to you!
Can you tell what exactly is ISPP and some details regarding it so we can avoid such too
@@human6203 Indian school of public policy
@@human6203 yeah plz
Can you explain a little bit more about your experience?
Yes please explain bro
I have graduated in 2022 and after that i have done nothing significant in my career i am confused and it's 2024 and i am going in void. I don't know what i should do or apply or study i have prepared for CAT in 2023 but the results were worst and in 2024 i am just preparing for government exams like SSC and my childhood dream was to become a officer. I don't want to waste my precious years, life is confusing at this point. I have a fear like if i do this maybe i will waste my time. I come from lower middle class , I don't have enough time and everyone's expectations are buildings a burden.
Please don't blame yourself, don't be guilty. Is the fault of the time and society. Please practice silence, relax and set 1 random goal and move.
It's better u did something then nothing.
@@AakashShiva thanks bhai ❤️ i think i should learn some skills and also do my studies side by side
Much needed video. Thanks bhai
Already from tech and since good with Machine Learning. Next video on what domain topics knowledge do we require bcoz even my dream is to get into UN.
Could you please update us with more initiatives like GGI.
i really appreciate your way of teaching........enlightening aspiring students with deep thoughts.......which are really lacking in this so-called coaching industry.....👍
Thanks for your kind words. I wish you all the very best. :) 🙏🏾
bro can you plz tell me this GGI's tech policy or what actually they do and whats the job in UN and is there a short term training or we can have a career in this ?

I remember I was enrolling for one of these schools but change of events saved me.
Brother directly come to the point
Indian public policy schools are same as the B.ed college , where one knows practically nothing just get useless piece of paper.
🙄itna relate nhi krna thaa😂
This is some basics I learned while living my stupid certification seeking life filled with arrear !
Thanks for saving my 10 lakh ....I was going to enroll at ISPP this year .
I am preparing for upsc last 3 year
Hello naman sir, from where can I learn these skills if not in Indian policy making schools
Thank you sir....
The biggest Crisis of Youth facing is Lacking of Skills sets that Required in Market hence they remain unemployed like me who have spent my father's hard earned money in Worthless shit of M.B.A degree in College there is nothing about skills and real word scenario they are happy with bookish Knowledge and some how pass the semester exam I know most of these problems are faced by millions of youths of India As Sir Rightly said Market Values Talent and Skilled People.
I need to learn all this skills.

so where do we get these courses/skills to learn? should we opt for only paid courses or free also works?
Sir you are a gem ❤
Every word that @namanshrivatsava spoke, hit the bullseye. It takes guts to call a spade. Hope that companies start adapting to this "skill over degree" policy faster than they're doing it. Thanks to the startup ecosystem in India. Startups are pioneering this policy.
such an insightful and honest feedback from Naman.
Thank you.
If someone wants to have deeper knowledge into International relations before giving the Civil services, should that person opt for a Diploma in IR from institutes like Indian institute of governance and leadership, along with a Bachelors degree… would that diploma benefit knowledge wise?
if you are
taking international relations as your optional subject maybe it could help, but just for prelims which have mainly 7-8 question and mains 3-4 question it will be too much
Sir i have come across this video now...when the new course will come???how to enroll into this
Helpful!
I'm glad! All the best
At this point of time, I'm in 12th class studying humanities, but the fact that as a humanities student (non-maths), you're inevitably supposed to get into civil services, freaks me out. while that is on my target, I want to have something to fall back on, in case things won't work, coz truth be told, in these times, UPSC is INSANELY COMPETITIVE, and given my background of lower middle class, I can't possibly put my everything on stake.
So my question is very simple, which course should I pursue in my college (also recommend me some colleges other than DU, BHU, are they worth thr hype?), so all the possible is open for me out there. Also, please recommend some alternative careers!!
It's request from this little kid who is your junior! ❤
I hve the same queries and doubts that you do tbh...
prepare for CLAT..and get into a reputed NLU. if not you may do your BA from a good college like stephens.. but do not take admission in any tier 2 college for bachelors degree...

Sir, what do you say about the TISS development studies programme? I have been planning for it so wanted your advice
I also wanted to ask the same question!
@@AnkitSharma-pk9bhI don't think that program offer campus placement

IFI employee here - The key to getting into UN/World Bank similar organizations is first gaining extensive field knowlodge in policy implementation easy way is working as entry level consultant or similar short term roles in your domain but in public policy. For e.g if you are an economics grad search for Niti Aayog or similar roles even if its in your home state level. Get 6-7 years of extensive field knowledge then try to get associated with firms or projects who work closely with UN or World Bank. Another 3-4 years may be and you are all set for a career in UN system.
Very important is to choose your stream dont work in some general administration be specific like finance, economics, public procurement, engineering, welfare and health or similar domains
Brownie Points - 1. if you have some spare money definetly get a masters from an overseas college university.
2. Work as an intern in some big shots like MBB.
3. Work in some underdeveloped country like Ghana or Guinea Bissau or some pacific islands like Fiji.
This comment gave more info than the whole video haha. Thanks sir
What about IIT-Bombay, or IIT-Delhi MPP programme??
They are getting really good placements???
Same...plz let us know

Naman, what are your views on taking admission in TISS?
We have had a few candidates from TISS at GGI - they were able to navigate into decent jobs. But they worked very hard during their time at GGI. TISS alone won't be a full-proof up-skilling venue

Sir, I stammer a lot.
Should I prepare for upsc?
Go for ssc/CAT and get some work ex, first know what is competition? Only after that upsc; i mean to say don't jump into upto upsc without a solid backup. Only few out of lakh it's brutal exam I could not recover from my 5 failures in upsc.
Should you prepare for UPSC is another question but I just wanted to say I watched a mock interview of a candidate who stammered and he obviously was a rank holder and got IAS but it was one of the best mock interview I have watched bcz his knowledge was in depth and he was asked lots of questions but he answered it all in a detailed way and even in review the board told him that he doesn't need any change. He already informed the board that he stammers and told them that he might take some time in answering but they said it's alright and even in review they said stammering doesn't affect anything and any board is patient enough to give you your time
