Will this work on a 2012 Mac Mini with cable internet? I don't have an external drive with SSD. It's just a regular one. Actually, I bought 2 because of the mess I'll describe below and already had one for time machine.
Apple screwed everything up. One advisor had me just turn off drive. I could've canceled cloud and lost everything after 30 days.
Another eventually created an archive, but I didn't understand it and was sliding things around between archive and original (cloud) docs, pictures. Potos library was transferred to external. It's all messed up. Can't attach anything to emails from photos library and even external.. Can't even upload photos library to Shutterfly because the archive was deleted by accident, I'm assuming why.
I don't want to be paying for cloud until the day I die, but want access to everything without cloud on. I don't want Apple to own my stuff. I want it off completely, but don't want to lose anything. Help and URGENT, too. Apple is sick of me and my old computer. They've messed things up many times and blamed it on my computer and its age. Please help today.

Jesus thank you for at least not waisting my time. The last video i watched the guy not only didn't show how to do this on the mac, but on pc as well and yet his ration was 519 to 40 and like i said the video title was how to do this and instead he gave a lesson on all the different formatting options and never actually showed how to do it on ether operating system. :)
