  • These are two affordably priced general purpose flashlights. I really like them both. One has a wide beam with a pivot head and the other is a narrower beam.

I have been collecting them, love how Energizer use neutral white LEDs in their lights now.

I've had the first one for almost two years, I really like it. The battery cap is the only thing I wish was different, it comes off too easily and being a rubberized material I'd expect it to be a bit waterproof.

Very late to this but if you use Teflon (or plumbers) tape on the thread of the tail cap it will stay on when tightened.

@@IamACanadian47 it is never to late. Thank you, I will give it a try. I got both and still use them.

@@Kurazaybo I work at a hardware store and I and about a dozen customers have bought the “tactical” straight one. All of us have had the loose cap issue but we’ve solved it with the Teflon tape, as a side note almost all of us are dog owners so the rubber plastic material lets you hold the light in your mouth while cleaning up their messes and the rubber is not freezing cold in winter like metal barrel flashlights.

I have the swivel head flashlight,,, and it starts to strobe in about 30 seconds after turning it on. All the newer flashlights seem have switch problems pretty often. I have had 2 of these; both had/have issues. And no, you should not have to pay $30 + for a decent reliable flashlight. The issue is cheap labor... which makes the corp's bottom line better; but not the flashlights. I have flashlighst I bought 20-30 years ago that still work just fine.
