Of you had done the glow plug delete it would’ve started already. I did the glow plug controller delete & the glow plugs work way better. Once I fried them & was able to start it for the next few weeks after the controller delete with a manual switch inside. Plus it’s a theft deterrent, if they see the switch & the stick they won’t know what to do.
@@americanmusclemaniac9565 yep the colder they are the harder it can be to start them. You think his wheels would good on Ole'Smokey? I've been thinking about getting some like that.
Hey nice cold start. Got a question I just bought a 93 7.3 idi just like yours and I pulled a couple codes. Do you have any knowledge on them to help me out. I live in Chicago and it’s hard to find someone that works on these motors
@@codyhoskins9997 it should have one. In under the hood driver side right by the hinge. Anyway I’m getting a vss sensor and tps fipl code. I recently replaced all the fuel system added a electric fuel pump. The truck was sitting 6 plus years and I’m having issues with the shifting getting out of 1st gear revs are high.
@@julianm2214 shift solenoid or the clutches in the trans are worn out mine going from 1st to 2nd jerks a little bit and the rest is okay but i think both of us need a rebuild on them mines a E4od transmission. 2 wheel drive 7.3 idi
@@AaronBilger thanks for the input I figured out my problem so I had my TPS out of wack after replacing the IP along with everything fuel related and installing electric fuel pump. I had to set the TPS with a multimeter to the right setting and also checked the sensor on the passenger side of the transmission just unplugged cleaned and greased it. You should try that maybe it’ll work for you.
Bro can you make a driving video of this truck? I just subscribed to you!
Yea I’m going to get a GoPro I’ll try to put one up.

Sounds like the old girl needs some glowplugs lol
I love a good cold start. Nothing smells better than success on a cool crisp morning 😏🤤💨💨
need new glow plugs if the relay is clicking i see this on most cold starts
Ok am I weird but I never crank my starter that long I cycle the fuck out of my glow plugs
Man I’d love to see another cold start like this from inside your truck
I have a video from a while back from inside the the truck I will put up
What starter is in that thing?
You need to new plugs
One of the better cold starts on TH-cam
My 91 F-Superduty lariat XLT 7.3 idi starts a little quicker than this without using the glow plugs but it doesn't get really cold here in Florida.
Man when these diesels are cold they take a while to start and I like it a lot
