I hate when I'm 10 to 15 min early for my interview and they don't interview me until an hour later because there late😡 then they hit you with sorry for the delay but if it's the other way around I don't get the job

@Jessica Elliott so true! You sit and wait calmly. Even though the wait will naturally make the heart beat faster - this has happened to me - just take deep breaths with a pleasing smile. And the nervousness will go away. Oh, by the way, I got the job!

I remember my first job interview I was nervous af I went in 10 minutes early and asked for the manager the manger saw me asked me for my ID and ssn and told me to sit it in the lobby and I just waited there patiently he came back and said that I got the job and I just needed to fill out the paperwork and that I could start my training the day after it was by far the best job interview I had

J_J ana Yes. A lot of places like fast food restaurants and Walmart and Target allow you to work at 16 but some other bigger places like hotels and things like that, you have to be 17 or 18 but you should always go onto their website and look at the age requirement before you apply

You have no idea how much this video means to me cause I saw it in school but never applied for a job.
Now at 18 years old and 19 in a few months.
I applied to Cold stone creamery (ice cream parlor)
And I got the email saying I’m invited and going to the interviews in a about 2.. maybe 3 days from the time of this comment.

Thank you so much! This is actually helping me prepare for my first ever interview tomorrow. I'm 20 and I have social anxiety so I was so nervous for tomorrow, but now I believe I can go in more confident.
I’m 16 Just watched this and listened to the advice, I got a job at the place a couple hours later!! Really excited to go to orientation as this is my first ever job! If there are any other teens like me this video is sooo helpful! I reccomend a resume to apply and to bring to the interview but I didn’t because I wasn’t able to print it but I was able to say all my qualities. Just be confident and professional! You have to look like your excited for working there and you have to show your interest. For fast food jobs or more casual companies I reccomend just wear a clean shirt and jeans.

UPDATE: I got the job! I want to give a few tips to those who may be nervous: Treat an interview like a friendly conversation, don't treat it like a Q&A. Be honest and just be yourself and you'll do fine. Make sure to be communicative and don't be shy to dig into your answers to give better clarification. Me being an introvert, it was still a simple and easy task and it's not as stressful as people make it out to be.

I'm not a teen but I am going to be doing an interview for jobs when I finish my schooling dealing with trauma victims and stuff
I decided not to get a part time job. Instead I just kept focusing on school work, which to me is fine. But maybe I will try again another year.

If you have the opportunity to just focus on education then go ahead and take several advanced courses because many don't have the opportunity to do so which is why I encourage you take AP or even IB or concurrent enrollment but in the end its a wise choice but take advantage of it. (Meanwhile i shall get a job because I can't afford collage)

Heres a tip, Teen jobs, they hire EVERYBODY lol. Show up on time, tell them you love the company so much, and if you have a bad customer, you will tell them whatever makes them feel better. EZ PZ you just got that dream job for 7 bucks an hour.
