    Awesome to see how you drive-in brand new bike, did you read the manual about reving? 2500 km lower than 7k rpm...?

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes I have broken in countless bikes and I usually do hard break ins. I have never had an issue. I believe the scoring of the cylinder walls doesn’t matter when breaking in as long as you do it correctly. The metal shavings are in the oil but very minimal and that’s why manufactures advise to change oil 500 miles but I do it sooner than that to get out those particles. All preference really lol

    How does the 950 compare to the 690 smcr?

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  ปีที่แล้ว

      690 is almost better in every way. It does what it’s meant to do be a goon bike. Wheelies, stoppies. It does it all and gives you the option to turn it on or off. Ducati on the other hand does not. You cannot clutch up wheelies regardless if you mess with the controls. It’s a safety thing so you don’t loop. Yes you can power wheelie it up but it’s no fun doing wheelies at 70 mph. Especially when you get good you want to slow them down and use the rear brake. As far as speed of course the Ducati is faster but definitely not as fun as the ktm at all. Also your seating position is a lot more relaxed on the ktm. On the ducati your still upright but your legs are almost scrunched. It’s weird it’s like your sitting too forward.

    So sometimes when you rev it and let go it would turn off? My '13 821SP has been doing it occasionally for the last 9 years or so...dealership didn't find anything. It's annoying af.

    Was your number plate included in box, i swear the dealership cant tell me what number of 100 my bike is

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine was 51 I believe. The dealer forgot to give me my number plate it was in the brochure folder I had to request it. And you can put it on the bike. I never did also they started like making more now so lol idk why they had numbers lok

    had the same problem with my hyper can't clutch up wheelie made me hate the bike, but found away to get it to clutch up use one finger on clutch and pull about 20 to 30 % of the clutch you need to practice it a bit and be gentle on the clutch

    Can’t turn abs of and can’t clutch it up. That’s definitely not the bike for me.. and why does it suddenly die wenn reving it..

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s supposed to be like a safety thing but they honestly suck. At least Ktm gives you the option to turn off everything. Ducati can’t unless you hot wire abs to do stoppies and you can’t clutch up wheelies. It’s a real bummer because my friend had the 2016 hyper 939 and you could clutch that up and it was amazing. So it’s unfortunate they took it away. Also when I had this I contacted every Ducati tuner including Ducati themselves and no one could figure it out lol.

    Good beginners bike?

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would def not recommend this as a beginners bike due to the cost of maintenance and parts if dropped. I would recommend a MT-07 they are a lot more forgiving and wheelie like crazy if you want to have fun after some practice. Also they are around 7-8k brand new pretty much half the price of the Ducati! Happy riding!

    • @ADDONRACER
      @ADDONRACER 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ColumbiaBros I drove the mt07 before, but liked the mt09 more. Its the mt09 or maybe this..

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ADDONRACER if it was between the 09 or this I would take this just because of all the bells and whistles. It’s more grunty on the lower end. The MT-09 is more of a street bike power delivery. So I guess it’s all preference lol
