- The still unfinished Southwest Light Rail Transit (SWLRT) project is now projected to cost more than double its initial projections in 2012 after several delays and price hikes during its construction.

According to Wikipedia it's planned to open in 2025.
$2,800,000,000 could have expanded 169 and Cross Town with bus stations, parking garages, vendor outlets etc. This is a waste of time and taxpayer's money. I want my investment back.

This project will only increase crime in Saint Louis Park. This light rail will transport criminals from the north and downtown.
Compare demographics and crime stats. When that one demographic moves in, crime increases.

Well thank you for that Racist rant, lets go onto reality. First EVERYONE uses the light in the downtown, so yes you will have some drug users on the light rail, but its not an increase its just what was already there, and I think its better that they are riding the rail rather than driving a car under the influence. They cause no harm beyond annoyance on the rails, but behind the steering column can and probably will kill someone.
