Are there other people onstage besides Joan Collins? Because she's all I can see. She so outshines everybody she shares the stage or screen with and they all disappear in the light of her dazzling beauty, charisma and stage presence.

They cut off the part that occurs after this, where they bring Liz on stage with them and she announces to the crowd 'Get off your asses for these old Broads!". It's a great little moment
Reading her Unapologetic Diaries here in 2022, she was really reluctant to do this (tv) film, because by her own admission she couldn't sing or dance. The other 2 were old pros at both. Weeks and weeks of rehearsal, you can see how the editing and moves were designed to go easy on Joan with a lot.

Joan Collins, not really known for being a song and dance actress, holds her own in this movie's musical numbers. And that couldn't have been easy with Shirley and Debbie standing next to you. I own the dvd and have wore this movie out lol

You have to love Joan for this. She is not a singer or dancer like Shirley and Debbie. But she hit her mark and held her own. I think they wanted Lauren Bacall for her part but for whatever reason she didn’t do it and Joan Collins took the part.
Well, Gwen was married to Bob Fosse and he choreographed Shirley in Sweet Charity. So, I'm guessing that that is the reason. Anytime I ever saw Shirley dance it was all Fosse moves.

Without her wigs , surgery and makeup (heavy duty) , Joan isn't much. I've seen it. The rest are---naturally.

Joan could barely achieve some of the moves, & some she just didn't make the mark. But totally FABU just the same!! (maybe a little more so!)
