case control study دراسة الحالات والشواهد

One of the issues that immediately confront researchers in any field is the choice of design for their study. It is very common for researchers to come to this issue with pre-formed ideas reflecting their bias for a particular way of doing research. That is to say, there is already an idea in people's minds about what may be the best data. In an earlier unit we referred to this as brand loyalty. It is very important, however, to remember that the best data is that which can most helpfully answer your research question. In this session we will briefly introduce more study design ( case control ) and then build on the levels of research problems that were discussed in the previous class.
Objectives:
1- Describe the case control study design that commonly used in public health research.
2- Discuss the strengths and weakness of case control study design.

دكتور بس سؤال يعني اني اسألهم عن عامل اني احدده وليس ايجاد شيء مشترك بين المرضى من خلال تاريخهم المرضي

هو شي مشترك بين هذه المجموعة اما علاج معين أو مرض معين بمعنى ثاني عندك مجموعة واحدة فقط في هذه الدراسة وبالتالي تختلف عن الدراسات الثانية التي تحتوي عادة على مجوعتين وتقارن بينهما هنا لا هي مجموعة وحدة كلها cases شبه بعض ويمكن ايجاد العامل المشترك من التاريخ المرضي ( بمعنى كلهم تلقوا علاج معين في الماضي ) أو ممكن تسال اسئلة معينة انت تحدده ولكن لمجموعة واحدة كلهم لديهم المرض
