He won an MVP in the most stacked NBA ever, Jordan, Showtime, Badboys, Twin Towers, EVERYONE and he did it with a back injury that would've left most normal people in a friggin wheelchair. I mean, how is that even possible? Unless you're some superhuman from another planet.
I came to the NBA at the tail end of Bird's career. The Carolina's didn't have a dog in that fight until '88. We are all about College Sports. We saw, were awed, and basically followed Michael Jordan from UNC days into the NBA. I'm one of the few that got to watch MJ in High School. Dominated even then. He just worked harder.

I love Bird. I have ever since my father had me watch the Celtics in the early 80's. Somebody needs to make a new series of Larry Bird videos. There's a plethora of footage of this man, and no offense to all the great reactions, yours included, but we need new footage, content, etc. It's out there. Please, somebody help us!!
I was a bball fan when it was a full contact sport. I just can't anymore. These new guys are like girls. I quit watching NASCAR when restrictor plates were enforced, quit watching the NFL when the new rules (AND expansion teams...ugh) were introduced. I watch old NBA games and go to high school and college football games. I'll race my own junk and save a fortune, wreck or not.
