As for just Nova, two songs mean a lot to her, "Lost Girls" (her early days in group homes and on the streets) and "You Did Your Best" (coming to grips with family issues). Tom and Nova have revived the "GFBF" band name for the two of them together and released "We Ain't Cowboys" (uh, Western-themed, with ... an alien?) and "Wild Horses" (itchin' to roam -- if you hate autotune I suggest you either skip it or go in knowing the first listen is gonna be sketchy, the more you listen to it the more you'll enjoy it).

LOL...there's something liberating about watching a modern black dude watching this and not freaking out about it. Surprise? Sure, but well played. And it's not like Archie was supposed to be a "hate sink". He was an imperfect guy. But when pushed he DID end up doing the right thing. As the show progressed he mellowed. The last few years of the show saw him and Edith adopt his never do well nephew's young daughter who turned out to be half Jewish. After the actress who played Edith left the show (her character died) Archie raised the girl as his daughter in a sequel series called "Archie's Place". But all that said I think the show was a valuable insight into the culture of the times and anyone interested in the history of the period could do worse than watch a few episodes of "All in the Family". Subbed!
