    Nancy thank you so much I have to try these. I am so sorry I didn't see this 3 months ago when I first started knitting. The way you slow down to show how to switch between plain and purl is very helpful.

    I had a pattern for simple mitts that did not have a thumb similar to yours. And I knitted this and sew them together and now I would like to add a thumb. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for your help.

    This is great thank you I’m doing this now but can I ask how many rows of k1 p1 did you do

    • @nobleknits
      @nobleknits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hi Maisie, I don't remember exactly but I want to say it was somewhere between 30-35 rows. On projects like this, I prefer to measure the length instead of counting the rows so I can knit mindlessly. 😀

      I'd go with what she said, they look like size 4 to me. She said to use 8's but my 8's are way bigger than what she's using.

    I like the finished product and thanks for the tutorial. I just find it a bit disappointing that you don't show how to start with a purl stitch the English style (yarn in your right hand) and only how to start with the continental way. Also I find it a bit negative that you only show the English style in slow-motion. Gives me a feeling like if you knit that way you are a bit slower to catch on or something. I really like your other tutorials and have almost finished a shawl where you also made a tutorial for. The beginner shawl where you start at the point and increase on the same side until it is as big as you want it.
