Teamsport Crawley Race League 5/8/24

The format is a qualifying round followed by 2 heats and a final. The 2 heats determine where you start the final by adding the position where you came and whoever has the least points starts first.
Quali: Track was slippery, but managed to come 5th
Heat 1: Good start into 4th, then I pass two drivers (as one entered the pit lane) and caught up to the lapped kart. I had a good battle with him for a while, but got in an incident which I believe is a racing incident as although I didn't back out and caused the crash, he was defending by slowing on the apex to create a blockage and I kept bumping into him. I also kept getting alongside him at some points which means I was faster than him. I ended up finishing 3rd but should have been 2nd as the person I got in the incident with was lapped but didn't show as lapped on the timing so he got second.
Heat 2: I got the 4th best lap time in heat 1, which means I start heat 2 in 4th. again, I get a good start into 3rd and the people ahead battle which means I can pass 2nd and build a massive gap. afterwards me and first place do another lap as we can, but that might of messed with the timing system as it showed up as me and him being in last. this meant we started way down the grid than we should have been for the final but we couldn't do anything about it.
Final: The race got restarted, but another incident caused another yellow which I thought would be a restart so I didn't think I'd need to be near the driver in front. But they put out the green flag suddenly so I just pushed and got close to the driver in front. I get past him and get up to 5th where I finish.

Was just trying to get past after a few laps of defending, tried to barge my way through but didn't work! 😬 in my defence he had a very awkward way of defending and did kinda brake check me

It wasn't this guys fault. The guy who he was trying to overtake saw he was going to go on the inside and he would've felt Marco's kart as he turned in and he could've given space
