Forgot to mention in the video as well. 2B is the only character in the game that doesn't have a 5 frame normal. So any moves that are -5 are safe on her, whereas punishable by other characters. Worth seeing if it applies to your character!
Great video as always, the thing i struggle with the most against 2B is her auto combo. It takes up so much space and feels difficult to counter poke or get any of my moves off.i use Gran (since i have the free version, i actually want to use Percival in the future when i buy the game) and i worry about using my boot move or even throwing a fireball because she always seems to hit me out of it. I find myself in a defensive position for the majority of the time because she just autocombos and backs off until she lands a well timed hit. Any tips?
this is a helpful, i feel like she easily bodies Vaseraga with all of her fast buttons and crushes. im sure this will make the match up only a little less painful for me
Heh, I hear a lot "easy" and "easier," right in the beginning in this video and the first thing you show is timing sensitive attack to counter a whiff that a lot of players can't even react to. I don't see a lot of players being able to stand still as their opponent attacks, just to see if they whiff or not; most common response people have is that they either back away, dodge, jump or counterattack. In my experience, the only times I've seen 2B player whiffing attacks like you demonstrated at the beginning is on C- and B-ranks. On A-rank and above and you rarely, if ever see anyone whiffing with 2B. Your take on how to deal with her specials was very good and informative however, even surprising me with some things I did not know despite my 400+ matches against this annoying character. Most of her moves are just simply too quick for me to react to and her running speed is insane to boot. I would have to be able to predict most of her moves before they even start in order to counter them. I also find it amusing that everyone who do these "how to counter 2B" videos, they always seem demonstrate these techniques against 2B while playing 2B themselves. Basically it feels like it boils down to "You want to counter 2B? Use 2B then." My way of dealing with her nowadays boils down to "I see her coming up next, I press Alt+F4 before the match even begins." What I commend the developers for, is creating a character that made Nier look tolerable, which I thought would be impossible. I will always take on ten Nier Master-rank matches in a row than even a single one against 2B. But yeah, nice informative video and well put together all in all - just not much use for someone like me who can't react to almost any of these.
2B is a huge test of knowledge. Not only does it have a unique autocombo system, but it has a lot of unique tricks to keep in mind while playing. Thanks for the tips and special thanks for the background music, love these games

Ferry, Metera, Ladiva, and Vas also only have 6+ frame normals, no?
really looking forward to this. i struggle using yuel against her like mad, feels like i can't even play half the time
man, same here ! I face her in 95% of my games and as Yuel can't do a thing
just picked yuel up and I see what your saying lol. especially since a lot of her turn steals get snuffed by 2bs big normals.
Well made and concise thank you!
