This song has meant so many different things to me this year. In the spring of 2018 my mother found a video of me in the shower and it was presumed to be taken by my step dad who had been around for many years. This shook and broke my entire family, took me out of my home away from my mom, my brother, and my dogs I love very dearly. My step father was the one who showed me this song not long before this incident. Months later the police found the deleted video and I had to watch to confirm it was me. I knew instantly without even seeing because I was singing this song. After that, I felt so uncomfortable and scared and disgusted in my own skin, and this song became impossible to listen too without having bad ptsd moments and a panic attack. Now, I hear this song and can listen to it all the way through. It doesn’t mean the same thing to me when I first heard it, but it shows me personally how strong I am and how much I’ve grown. For the rest of my life this song will represent my personal strength to me and to show me that I will be ok. I wish I could directly thank the band but I don’t know if that will ever happen. If anyone knows any ways for me to do that, please, help me. Thank you so much for this song, it means the entire world to me.
