I finally got to do my hair routine for all my natural wavys and curlies out there! :)
I started my transition into natural hair back in March, and after lots of trial and error routines, this is the one that stuck with me! I know it's not perfect, but it's part of the process, and I really hope it helps a wavy or a curly start her/his own process :)

I have 2a waves and because of that it’s extremely hard to keep my hair wavy. I could easily wear my hair straight but it dosent look right, it makes my it look frizzy and dry. However when I wear my waves my hair looks so much healthier, but I really want to find a product that will define my waves.
There’s so many good ones for wavy hair, all the ones I used in this video (especially the ones from the Curl Talk line) are really good! But are you just looking for an anti-frizz cream? Or like gels and mousses and all that?

I've been using the Denman brush to separate my loose curls for a few years now. I can't beat the style I wind up with when I use the Denman versus not combing it. I love both looks, and it's nice to know I can achieve either. Thanks - good video!

Okay, glad someone said they have multiple different hair types (lots of 2's and 3a) cuz I thought I was crazy. 😅 I'm pretty sure the majority of my hair is type 2c, but I've definitely got soft waves towards the nape of my neck, but some loose ringlets towards the front of my face/in my bangs.

Omg someone with the same curl type that I do! I have everything from 2A to 3A as well (and possibly a couple 3B curls in the back too). I just chopped my hair short too, so I might have to try out some of the techniques you use here. I love being able to learn new stuff even after being CG for three years!

This comment sounds weird. There was no space made for type 4 hair in the west for hundreds of years, it was looked down on and hated and now there are resources to help type 4 women love and nurture their hair. Why can’t you be happy for type 4 AND type 2 now that there’s more diversity ?

hi! so I for the last 2 years have been brushing my hair constantly, resulting in my usually thick curly/wavy hair turning frizzy and less thick. so I'm trying to make it normal again, and looking at vids like these makes me believe there is hope!
I'm just starting my journey to get my wavy hair back and have watched more videos than I can count 🙈 but this was so straightforward and so helpful!! It's honestly kind of overwhelming trying to find where to start, what products to buy (I literally don't even have shampoo anymore I ran out a few days ago 😂), what techniques to use, etc. I think you have really similar hair to what mine could have been before it became damaged so I'll start here ~

Thanks for the tutorial! I've been trying out different hair routines for a while now, and while my hair is naturally a 2a-2b wave, the curly girl method makes it look kinda bad so I try to focus on just giving it moisture instead of styling

I love the way your hair looks and your tutorial, thanks :) I keep looking for videos where someone uses 1 product instead of three. i wish to find one styling product that does the job
As far as I can tell, that's not really possible. The minimum would be two products; a curl cream OR leave-in conditioner and a gel. You probably don't need as many products as TH-camrs and influencers use, because they're doing a job, but you will need some kind of prep, enhancing, and hold steps in your routine. If you use a curl cream, you can sort of cheat the prep and curl enhancing steps by combining them, so then you would just need a gel for a hold step. It's really all about trying to get an enhanced wavy style that lasts for as long as possible.
