This Cayman R came out in 2011/12. As it’s described as a new car here, this video is from over a decade ago, despite being uploaded 2 years ago. And it shows! This style of pretentious OTT car journalism (if it can even be called that) started with the original Top Gear and was followed up by this show…Fifth Gear which was sort of a ripoff of that for another British TV network. It just seems so dated now, just cringeworthy 😒 and to think I actually liked this sort of thing back then too…you grow and mature I suppose. I see from this channel, that Fifth Gear are still going, I haven’t watched any of the newer videos, so I hope they’ve mellowed since this silly one was made. Rant aside the Cayman R was a great car! One of my all time favorite Porsche’s.
Horsepower are for acceleration ! Torque are for holding the speed ! So a lot of torque allows you to have more horsepower at lower revs ! Enough of power and torque, I would go with the lowest specked Porsche since roads are NOT racing cirquits, so the spare money I will spend on holidays ;) By the way I love driving a little "dangerous" with lifted wheels in the corners, so no stiff suspension car for me :D
