There were some absolutely fantastic cakes from that selection; it's a shame only two could win. I think Line actually put together a VERY good looking cake, but Christopher and David were so far ahead of the pack that no one was in their league.

I've been thinking and (if I had the ability lol), I think I'd make a honey and rum cake, wet the layers with a mixture of milk, condensed milk and cinnamon, with caramelized pineapples+coconut filling and topped with piped italian meringue (torching the top). OR if they had the ingredients, I'd make a chocolate cake, wet with guaraná, make a brigadeiro and cupuaçu mousse filling, top with white+dark chocolate glaze and cupuaçu jam.
I find it funny that everyone who was making any kind of banana cake, started with sliced bananas in a skillet. I make banana nut cake all the time, so let me tell you, that’s not how you do it! 😅😂
