  • In Episode 86.5 of PhotoKitchen I issue a retraction and make a formal apology to Capture One for getting the workflow of the new AI Masking feature wrong.
But I had my reasons . . . more details in the video.

A bit late to comment, and while it's great that you posted this additional information, it's difficult to resist commenting on your comments on how complicated you feel C1 has made adjusting multiple images in the viewer. Which is made easy by using the C1 speed edit key option, which is one of C1's best and easiest to use features. You comments and holding down keys and standing on your head to find a solution, is, I think, a little misleading in terms of how efficient it is to use the speed editing keys, if this was what you were referring to.
I like the C1 logic when multiple images are selected, but, linked to this is that I also think the speed edit keys are a tremendous time saver, which I regularly use. I am aware of some new C1 users saying the speed edit key function was the principal reason for switching to C1. And, I find it easy and intuitive to follow the C1 logic, and practice, in how this works for the situation you describe.
With multiple images in the viewer, the speed edit keys affect all images and the sliders affect the selected image. This means, for example, if one the four images is slightly underexposed, I can use the sliders to match it to the other three images, and then use the speed edit key (hold down the Q key and use the mouse, tablet or arrow keys) to adjust all four images in synch.
As an aside, I like dragging the curve tool out from the tool panel and going full screen with the image , and then using the speed edit keys and the floating curve tool to do distraction free editing.
C1 has a few things like this that you need to learn, but once learned, turn out to be very useful. e.g. things like the copy and paste options are a bit confusing at first, but once you learn the different options, you can considerably speed up your workflow by using the correct copy and paste option.
This is both the strength and weakness of C1. If you take the time to learn it, and use it every day so you don't forget how it works, the C1 workflow can be incredibly fast and "intuitive", because you get used to it.

Man your intro has to go way too long this is the second video of yours that I’ve watched, other than that love your videos.
I spend hours watching TH-cam tutorials and if every intro was like yours I would be done with TH-cam yeah I know I can scroll past your intro but a better solution would be rebuild it and make it shorter we aren’t here to watch intros!
