1st Video showing some of the football memorabilia i have collected over the years. This episode I start with the 1st programme I personally kept and football magazines I collected.
Really enjoyed your video, and bought Shoot and Match in the 70's..Im a Bristol Rovers fan, but as a 7 year old in the early 70's, I was bought the old West Ham away kit to wear for football at school.
The Liverpool game i was in tears standing on my claret and blue stool as a snotty 7 year old, remember dad saying don't worry son we will be back. The small old programmes were the best and I havnt bought a programme in years . The league ladders were superb. I preferred Shoot to match. Great stuff Nige. Thanks mate.

great show and i was there for that west ham v liverpool game as i got there 2 hrs before kick off and there was a queue then for the north bank and those little programmes were great and you could buy them on green street on the way to the ground
Hey; just come across your post. Some great memories there. I started picking up back copies of Charles Buchan’s Football Monthly and World Soccer. Have recently subscribed to Backpass which has some fantastic stuff in pre Premier League
I used to buy the programme every game, and cut out the reports in the News and Standar that evening, unfortunately they all went in the bin at one time or another when growing up, or moving house/country.
Our programme back in the 70's was one of the best in the league.
