- In this video, we take a look at how we can interact with Cisco Meraki by way of the API. The free tools I use in this video include the Meraki Enterprise instance found in the DevNet Sandbox, and program called Postman.

great video but lots has changed on meraki platform and postman. Could you please do a refresh video?
welcome back
Great Video. Can I use postman to add a global admin across all of my organizations (I have a little over 100) without having to add them one at a time to each organization? Right now we just have one global admin account and all support personal is using that account so there is no way to know who mad what change.
are there difference in this version over the latest version, Meraki Dashboard API - v1.16.0?
Sorry for the dumb questions I'm new to APIs..
What do you mean by "calls"?
If I understand this correctly these API will "Get" information/ data from the Meraki devices? Why is the retrieved data so hard to read in the output?
Is there an easier way like creating an app or button in the Meraki Dashboard?
Not a dumb question at all! You are correct that these APIs retrieve information, which is what we refer to as a call. We are essentially "calling" a server (similar to the concept of a phone call) and waiting for a response.
The data output certainly can be confusing at first until you get the hang of reading the output. I'll point out that there is a tab in the output window inside of Postman called "Preview." This lets you actually preview the returned information in a visual manner, which helps if you're not familiar with reading lines of returned output.
Thanks for checking out my content!
@@CharlesJudd Thank you! Keep uploading! btw thank you for the excellent mic you are using.
Can we create firewall policy and wifi SSID using API?
