Lunge is one of my favorite characters! I knew you would like him, he's such an interesting person. Also love his voice, very sharp and jarring when its needed.

Nice catch with Eva. I noticed when reading the manga that sometimes she looked pretty and other times she looked like a witch. Never thought to put together that maybe the way she's drawn might reflect how genuine or "virtuous" for lack of a better term she's being at that time

This show has managed to creep me out in a way nothing ever has, it's so good at building tension in scenes

Great reaction and review. Lunge is one of my favorites characters in this great show. I am pretty sure that you'll love unraveling him. By the way, not only does the timeskip help to show the changes and the possibility of the twins appearing as young adults, but now we are in 1995, in the reunified Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Hell yeah Lunge's here 🙌 An iconic character indeed, my personal second favorite only by a small margin. As to whether he's "good" or "bad", you'll find out as the story progresses, but it's definitely always a treat whenever he's on screen. We're only a few episodes in but I'm already pretty excited to hear your thoughts on the upcoming episodes, things are about to get interesting!
I sure won't spoil whether you're likely to consider Lunge more of a hero or an antagonist, but he's certainly one of the very best characters in the show. The dynamic between him and Tenma at this point in the series reminds me a lot of Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive. "I didn't kill her" "I don't care"

Lunge is one of my favorite character in this story. He's a very polarizing character however, the fandom either love him or hate him.
There's a lot of characters I really like in this show and Eva is actually somewhat high on that list so I'm excited to see what'll you think of her going forward. Loving the reactions, by the way. This show really is perfect for your style.

Lunge is probably supposed to be pronounced "Lun-guh" because it's just the German word for lung. Also interesting to note that Mr. Junkers said "Monster" specifically which is not the Japanese word but the German word (pronounciation is very similar too the english one too, but given the anime, I believe it's supposed to be the German pronounciation), I think it's also not too far fetched to believe the anime title is also supposed to be the German word instead of the English, but idk
I think he‘s called Runge in the German translation.

Monster is amazing. About Lunge, there are no silent vowels at the end of a word in German. Porsche, Helge, Lunge, the E at the end is always pronounced, something like an -uh.
I started my binge of this series to enjoy these reactions. Inspector Lunge is great

oh man I haven't watched this show in years... it's damn gripping even watching it again! and seeing you get invested is certainly making it even more fun to watch 😆 loved your reaction to lunge and how he could go to dark places, think like a monster and not let go of the case... I would NOT want him coming after me, guilty or not.. he gives me the kinda creepy intense vibes of a centipede or something 😱 and you being attracted to this anime because of it's character driven focus... there are so many memorable characters who I still think about to this day, even though I could not tell you a thing about the plot 😂 very strong characters in this one! and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on all of them and most definitely gain new insights on them 🥹 looking forward to the next ep!!!
