Glad you found it enjoyable, thanks for commenting. I'm the little one on the tricycle, born 1945, moved from New Jersey to Wellesley, MA in 1948. Blessings
Loved your home video - the post-war 40's seemed to be such a happy time, with WWII over and families being reunited and growing. I was a result of the post-war baby boom, having been born in 1952 and the eldest of four. Love the house and seeing the beginning of what now, 70+ years later, a well-established area. Current views of the house look just like the original - I had to google the address and see what the home looks like today. Is it still in the family?
Glad you liked the video and it was meaningful for you. My folks sold the home in 1955 and moved into another still in Wellesley. I started 5th grade in a different school which worked out fine when I got to Junior and Senior High cause I had friends from two elementary schools instead of just one. I am blessed with the family and childhood that I had.
Love this footage ❤ my dad was born in 1948 and I’ve always wondered what it was like back then.
