I was never a big Suzi fan, but I went to a Rock weekend at Butlins in the late 90's and she was one of the line up. I was surprised when she played as she really worked her socks off. I even found myself on the dance floor! I've not seen her being interviewed before but I really admire her now, seems very nice and down to earth. Love her "ego room", what a smart lady.
I longed to be like Suzi Quatro back in the good old days. In her leather trousers and big guitar, she was fantastic and still is. Her duet with Chris Norman 💖Stumblin’in is one of my all time favourites.
What i love is her humility, and character. A loving heart and soul. a really beautiful person inside and out.
I remember going to watch Suzi Quatro at the “Cricketers” in Westcliff on Sea in 1974/5. She was one hell of an act and really played to the crowd.
There's no doubt she's a living legend. Suzi certainly pioneered the leather look. Damn good bassist and singer too!

Wow! This was a trip down memory lane seeing her again. I remember when I worked in the Electricity board shop in Chelmsford Essex back in 1990. She used to stroll in, pay her bill, and buy some vacuum cleaner bags from me. As a 17 year old, I was in awe of that sweet and sexy little rocking lady.

We emigrated in 74 to Perth WA and I remember supping on a Chocolate Thick Shake from Perth Central Bus station and "The Wild One" was playing on a PA (Probably 6KY when it was the rock channel) and everyone joining in singing it.
Aaaah youth... We definitely grew up in the best times.
My (youngest) 24 year old daughter doesn't even want to go out of the house..

When I was 14 yrs old I was in the audience on an ITV show called Revolver, hosted by Peter Cook, Suzi was on stage about 10 feet in front of us and it completely blew me away, WOW

@@paulsawtell3991 Music is an art and takes many different forms. I happen to think, along with many other people, that Suzi Quatro sang some great songs. There are other pop stars and groups that I think sang some great songs too. FYI, I also play classical piano including Beethoven and Chopin. They wrote some great music too. I particularly love Chopin. It's all about personal, individual taste and we are all entitled to enjoy whatever music we like.

What a grounded person, I wonder how many pop stars today think that the fans in the audience have put their hands in their pockets to pay and see them perform and that they now owe them, definitely not Justin Bieber who walked off stage after a hissy fit.

Suzi is standing it well. Not many like her . She was a pioneer for genuine front women that the likes of Debbie Harry followed. An Elvis fan an a Catholic as well I believe. She sings a great Elvis tribute song, singing with angels.

Attended a live performance once, unforgettable, she worked the audience and got them involved while still adding humour. A time to remember forever.

@patrons of freedom No New Zealand and it was back in ‘73 or 74, early days for Suzi and I’ve never forgotten been a fan of her since. ChCh Town Hall went down in the big earthquake not being rebuilt sadly.
I've always liked her from the early 70s until now. Her looks have hardly changed and she comes across as a thoroughly nice and grounded person.

In the early seventies, I and a bunch of other kids decided we were going to jump the fence and sneak into a Suzie Quatro concert. She was performing in Perth West Australia at Leederville football oval,.
It was dark as we surveilled the oval fence line for a good place to climb, while all the time listening to Suzie perform. Well, with many distractions and the police along with security putting a damper on our plans I eventually separated from the group. As I walked to the front of the oval I noticed that the gates were open with just one security man. The bloke never said a word as I walked through and I was able to watch Suzie perform her last song. Playing cat and mouse with the police and security and eventually getting to see Suzie perform is one of those memories that I've never forgotten. And Suzie was great.

16 in '73, Suzi was most of us at that age our absolute heartthrob! She still is!! What an amazing lady!! Does surprise me Suzi still has a relatively strong American accent given most of her life has been as a Brit.... Aussies have always been very quick to claim Kiwi's as their own, also e.g. BeeGees as Aussies yet Manchunians, but Suzi truly made it here, so very proud she is one of us!!

From a distant memory I believe that Suzie Quatro and her husband Len used to live in a village near me in Havering-atte-bower, Essex in the 70's.

great generation of stars
one of my fave idols of my childhood.... Can The Can (in Australia) was my very first album i got for Xmas in 73 or 74... i love her ability to be real... even at the start of the 80's Rock Hard was awesome... Stumblin' In with Chris Norman was huge.... i guess the day will come soon enough when we lose another of our idols... Suzi is so real, i hope she continues to have a long and happy life.
