  • I went back to find Carlos Luis...
This is a little bit of a different video to which I usually post and I did not film it as well as I wanted to as I was uncomfortable sticking the camera in their face whilst doing this.
    I am still improving.
I believe in doing good deeds off camera, However I shot this in order to show you guys where the money goes. No video, No proof.
Hope you guys enjoy and thanks once again.
If you would like to keep up with me behind the scenes you can follow me on instagram here:

Before the family knew he was giving them a gift they gave Kurt some food and water from what little they have. Amazing family with a big heart and Kurt's a hell of a man too think of others like that.

Yes but I assume when they see a white man they see money.. so they treat him well. As apposed to a black man coming to there house. I would like to think the hospitality would be the same.. but at the same time I think that it
      Would be different.

@@publicalias8172that probably is true, but deep down they still hope that he will give them money which is very natural if you live in poorer conditions. As long as they dont press him into giving them money, and dont take it for granted i think its actually completely okay to have some hope because they know this man can change their lives atleast for a bit of time. They are still very nice people and probably great to hang out with.

By the looks of it the wood doesn’t even look recently cut, it looks like they just picked it up from the forest floor as it was already laying there dead. Forests like that are always producing more and more dead wood. Even in America we go in to clear out dead wood in many areas, but at a cost and in order to keep the forest clean, healthy, and free of wildfires. They’re doing it for free but they get wood to keep their families living.

Relentless capitalism, constantly being told of all the things you "need" to be happy, latest iphone, new cars and big houses with much more space that you'd ever need. When you don’t have much financially and someone gives you a big amount of money you feel very awkward because your not used to those emotions at all. They most likely will be dancing with joy. As much as we would like to see people crying with joy to see how much they appreciate it, it doesn’t always happen like that with people who are not used to having nothing. Just know those people are very very excited and happy about it. We as humans should be sharing much more.

the cost of living in Haiti is surprisingly high. A lot higher than I thought, given the quality of life. Its about 1/4 the cost of USA, which is quite high for somewhere with such tough conditions. Just shows how much of a bind Haiti's economy is in. Take Vietnam, while not a wealthy nation, has much higher quality of life than Haiti and is still much less expensive. For comparison, its about double the cost of living in Haiti vs Vietnam, and the Vietnamese earn about 3x as much. Life is exponentially harder for the Haitians. 3% unemployment Vietnam vs 40% in Haiti. That earthquake that hit them is just, such bad fortune, and compounded all their problems greatly.
