My dearest Academy,
Long time ago, I truly admired you for being the home of patriotic people. So, when my silbing started his journey at PNPA, I was again amazed and was so proud of him. But, upon knowing those reported cases of hazing, maltreatment, abuse, and casualties. It’s really frustrating. Example situation when he lost all the stuff that we bought for him (dahil uso daw pagnanakaw sa loob, kahit Toothbrush) I was really dismayed. This stealing incident happened from time to time even his own uniform was stolen. Then, he had this cough for months already but he did not receive any intervention or even a single lagundi. Your dispensary/clinic i think is only for emergency cases (like kong may mag 50/50 na), kasi daw punishment awaits kapag May magpapa check up. Next, my mom once visited him, she discovered this bukol sa may tummy niya but it was never treated nor got healed kasi palagi din namang sinasaktan ang area na yun. He had sleepless nights like other cadets coz he was the one doing all the paperworks of his upperclass at nagmamasahe pa wow. But he refused to disclose to us what exactly happened, we had known this from someone who resigned from your Academy due to maltreatment also. I couldnt just really understand it until now.
Where’s the value of EXCELLENCE, JUSTICE and INTEGRITY that the Academy is trying to uphold and instill to every cadet? It’s just the same way how the PMA and PNPA operated. They are actually helping these aspiring soldiers and policemen to be future criminals. Why can’t the authority stop this ongoing ‘culture’ in the Academy which involves stealing, abuse and hazing? It’s actually the reality, several cadets have quitted already as they were suffering from nonstop physical beatings, unreasonable punishments, maltreatment, emotional/verbal abuse, etc. If you were the victim of all these unlawful acts, what do you think will be the outcome? Will you be that man with honor and integrity? Will you be that patriotic individual who’s willing to die for the welfare of your countrymen? Will you still be that mentally/emotionally stable man after all the traumas and violent experiences you’ve been through? I dont think so. The Academy is only producing such corrupt, vengeful, and hypocrite public servants! Majority do not understand the rationale behind their ‘ritual/tradition’. It needs to be stopped. The institution and the members as well must serve according to their real purpose- to serve God, people and the country. NOT TO SERVE THEIR EGO AND FULFILL THEIR SELFISH DESIRES. No wonder why the President found it difficult to impose discipline and restore the beauty of the Philippines. Theres just a lot of pseudo patriotic people. My Brother once told me that he truly hoped to stop the nonsense tradition and the history to repeat itself. Wake up people! Theres a lot more battles to face

Yes, indeed... it is very disappointing! PMA what will happen now to the dreams of our youths who dream to be the soldiers of our land? Hope something will be done on this disgusting incident of- hazing, maltreatment, cover-up, physical and mental infliction of pain. Hope, the Dormitorio family and we, the public, can see that justice will really prevail in this case. May the culprits be nailed down by the law!

@@patvinabe1058 if you join the army that's part of the training. Believe me if you're in jungle or other places on a mission hindi Lang lamok ang maging rough sa kanya. Point is there's a certain way of training in the military that includes physical and metal endurance. What happened to him is too much and the people responsible for that night went too far. It is tragic and sad.

Before, I was imagining myself as one of the cadets. I wanted to be part of the military and train in PMA and to serve our country. Pero pagkatapos ng nakaka-awang pangyayaring ito, I need to think twice. Because I don't wanna end up like Darwin. Justice ia not yet served, hope it will soon. God bless Darwin and his family. So, that is how we train our future soldiers now? I’ve always thought methods like these can be seen only in CIA movies. Unbelievable that PMA continues to do and tolerate these things. Kaya pala marami din mga sundalong nagiging barumbado after graduation. They are really not exacting discipline from the lower ranks but instilling fear! What they are training here are the top rank seniors in becoming monsters who lack human compassion! This has to stop! But I don’t think it will! This is where tradition sucks, big-time! 😡

For me he is a hero. He died with a purpose. Siya yung voice ng mga co students nya na minamaltrato din at hindi maka reklamo kasi baka sila din yung isusunod and it is an eye opener to us Filipinos. Thank you and rest in peace Mr. Dormitorio, you are a brave hero.

Ang nakakapanglumo din isipin ay nung time na sinusulat ng bata sa papel ang mga nangyayari sa kanya na para bang naiisip nya na malapit na syang mamatay. Nakakaawa kasi sa hirap at bubog na inabot nya nakuha nya isulat lahat ng kahayupan na yun.

Paano na diagnose ng doctor na may UTI si dormitorio? Ano ba ang chief complaint ng patient at UTI and diagnosis? Parang may something din sa nag examine na doctor.. mukhang may pinagtatakpan.. kaya pinalabas na UTI ang diagnosis nya... he/she should be questioned as well.
