If you don’t want to go in ceiling’s for the front and rear heights ( living room set up ) would bookshelf speakers on the front and back wall pointed at the listing poison be ok

Hard to say, I only mix in stereo. Adding more speakers makes the room harder to treat...

    Sure looks good!

Made a good difference in the sound in the room too. I now need a few more for the rest of the room... It never ends.

REDtone Studio you can say that again. I think I've built 8 absorbers so far and my room is tiny compared to yours! It's an expensive and time consuming exercise to get it right. Making a diffuser that works properly is the hard part!

What type of fabric is that?

Weed Fabric. Just cheap as possible weed guard. It doesn't stretch much so you have to be careful. Nobody has ever complained...

The holes are just for weight reduction, I’m assuming?

I did it mainly for weight reduction. I also think it may help with sound going through the holes and being able to absorb those as well. It was still surprising how heavy it was after the holes were drilled out.

REDtone Studio how well does it perform, sonically? Have you done any frequency response testing before and after to measure the difference? I’m looking to build one for myself and I love the design.. it looks great!

Did you watch part 2? At the end I showed the changes in both frequency response, waterfall, and spectrogram. It didn't help much with frequency response (it takes a lot of treatment to effect that) but in the waterfall and especially spectrogram you can see the difference. It really helped tame the reverberation coming off the ceiling. My next step is to do side wall panels as well, the space is super echo-y still, but it is a big empty room and I started with the ceiling cloud for the lighting as well as the acoustic treatment.

      What's your absorption coefficient?

Hard to say, I haven't measured it or even know how I would measure it. I would say it is whatever 6 inches of Safe and Sound insulation usually measures...
