      Thanks for watching, I used to get a bunch of views (for my channel anyway) with these videos but the TH-cam algorithm has forgotten these recently. Glad you liked em!

      Thanks for watching! When I do things alone it takes a bit of thought on how to do it, but I get it done!

    As long as you can actually hear a difference it's worth it.

    Wow, that is one big cloud! I’ve never made anything that big. I have always gotten my traps into place with Zip ties, would take some pretty heavy duty ones to do that here.
    I assume the chicken wire was to prevent lumps from showing through?
    Nice work!

      Yeah, it was huge and still heavy even after I drilled all the holes. The chicken wire was to make sure the insulation wouldn't fall against the fabric and make it look lumpy and uneven. Not sure how important it is but better safe than sorry, I don't ever want to bring it back down...

    Can I order you some guilford of maine acoustic fabric to cover that up so it looks as awesome as your build! Great video!

      Thanks for watching! I agree some real fabric would make it look that much better, but when you have the lights on and glaring down you barely notice the fabric isn't perfectly black not pulled perfect...

      I used normal can light fixtures from Lowes or any other home improvement store, then used color changing BR35 lights from Amazon. They are just an off brand that hook up to wifi. For the top I used a string of LEDs also cheap ones from Amazon, they change color with a little remote.

    Only because of your high ceiling, you could easily control the low frequencies and ... otherwise, Omra would be able to control the rock wool with a simple panel, which is very low, which is very difficult.

    Hey, thanks for sharing! Why did you drill the holes in the outer frames??

    • @redtonestudio2982
      @redtonestudio2982  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for watching! I did it mainly for weight reduction and looks. I figured it wouldn't hurt to have a little extra insulation exposed though for catching sound waves that might bounce into it, but I'm sure that effect is minimal.

    At that height, I don't think it's most effective. If you can lower it closer to your listening position than from the ceiling, it will have greater affect, methinks.

      You may be right, if it didn't take so long to get it up there I would have done measurements at different heights. I think it is good enough now at least good enough to where I don't want to move it! ha ha
