One of the things that I always love about Porter Robinson when he's doing interviews, is how well-spoken he is. I love how easy it is for him to articulate and convey meaning.
I met Porter in 2012 when Madeon came to KCMO. I was walking on the sidewalk after the show to meet Madeon with no idea Porter was there. This dude ahead me had a porter shirt on, so I tapped him on the back and said nice shirt. He asked if I’d seen Porter, and that Madeon shows aren’t as crazy as Potter’s shows. After I met Madeon, this guy walked away with him, and then it hit me that I had just met Porter without knowing who he was because his digital presence looks so different from how he actually exists irl. For the record, pre-knowing-it-was-Porter Porter was metaphysically chill and looked like some random physically healthy dude who might work at a mountain climbing place or a bike repair shop.
Something about the way Porter conducts himself or what he talks about in his interviews/talk sessions like this really brings out the happiness in my heart and gives me tons of inspiration and hope for the future. Wack

I saw porter at red rocks in denver for nurture and it was the most insane experience, it felt like true bliss, so uplifting and beautiful. the love I have for him and his music is unconditional! seeing him at iii points in miami this october and i’m extremely excited

Virtual self and porter are SO insanely different I think honestly I wouldn’t be about it if he played porter at an actual virtual self show. Like the whole vibe is different. Both are absolutely s tier amazing but like… for different reasons

I remember a while back while Porter was playing Half Life Alyx and I was watching him stream (pretty sure back around the lockdown days) I asked, in the chat, if he had ever experimented with psychedelics and he honestly responded and said no and that he didn’t think those substances would be suitable to him. Kinda cool to see his curiosity has opened up a bit more! Porter if ur reading this I think a small dose (my personal preference being acid) as an introduction would be an enjoyable experience for you!!! It’s all about set & setting bb!!
