Wish I had a slice of the Villager pie. Oh it looks and sounds delicious…. Thank you for sharing with us. I enjoy comparisons. Have a sunny nbdelightful day.
Your reaction during the comparison has me cracking up, Tami!!! That was hilarious!!! Also - Excellent video on the pimento cheeses, Kevin!! I can't stop thinking about how good that would be on a Ritz cracker! I've only ever had pimento cheese on sandwiches before. Love the idea of putting it on burgers too! 👏👏👏 You guys are always such a joy to watch! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to your amazing channels! You're both Awesome!
I'm in Ohio. We have Gardner's Pie Outlet in Akron. They bake for companies and the extra pies they sell in their outlet store. You can get an awesome pie for 6 or 7 dollars fresh that day. Any left over pies they freeze and you can get them even better discount the next day. The popular ones like cherry vanilla or the country apple sell quick. Sooooo good!!
Whaaaat! How did I not know about that?! I live outside of Cleveland and have never heard of Garner’s Pie Outlet. I’ve been missing out! 😅 Thanks for the tip!!
I just bought this pie for my birthday along with Tillamook creamy ice cream with chocolate chunks. After a wonderful beef stroganoff made with chunks of steak add sour cream. It's tough turning 60 so you might as well just go all out😄 Thank you for the comparison take care.
Oh my goodness I love pie! At my Whole Foods they have two flavors of Village Pie Maker; Cherry and Apple. Do you recommend one flavor more than the other?
Tami, my very favorite one is the Private Selection™ Triple Cherry Pie. I would LOVE to hear what you and Kevin think. It should be in the baked goods section (room temperature, not frozen or refrigerated) at Kroger. Below is the description. If you’re interested, will you please review it? 😃 “A 9-inch fruit pie made using a unique blend of dark, tart, and sweet cherries enrobed in our flaky crust with a wavy lattice top. Outstanding flavor and interesting cherry color variation.”
Cherry pies?! Count me in! I’ve never had either but wow! What a difference in price 😮 I wonder if the price differs that much for other flavors too! And, if you’d end up with the same result from a comparison of other non fruit flavors like a lemon meringue, coconut or chocolate cream etc! Super fun and creative video/review!! Thank you!
I recently tried the Village PieMaker Pumpkin it was on clearance at aldis for 89 cents it was really good, definitely wished I picked up more, lol So of the two I would try the village pie maker (definitely if it was on clearance like the pumpkin, lol)
Don't know why, but I don't really enjoy pastry-based pie crusts... I just end up eating around it lol. (My mom used to buy those little Table Talk apple pies and I would do just that 😅) I do love a good graham or cookie crust in a pie though. I saw online that The VIllage PieMaker does make some with those; I'm sure they're good! I've had some Sara Lee ones in the past (and other brands) but they aren't the best.
Sara Lee pies basically tastes like store bought frozen pies, I gave up on them completely after Patti LaBelle's Sweet Potato Pies came out, because Sara Lee's version had been the only one available in the San Diego area beforehand; but hope I can find this Village Piemaker brand!
I live near Omaha NE so maybe that's why I can easily find these pies but it's usually the apple one though . Great review and comparison I like a pie with a lot of crust .
I love the smell of a buttery pie crust in the oven. I enjoy a good pie crust. I don’t have a Kroger in my area but they do own Harris Teeter so I will check to see if they carry The Village PieMaker. Great review.
@@TamiDunn thanks Tami! I see the Apple and Strawberry Rhubard are the only ones sold at the Harris Teeters in my area and surrounding town. Wholefoods shows a pumpkin one, so I may see if they still have it. I will definitely the Apple.

It's hard to find two of the same flavors available in the frozen area (that we haven't compared before).

You got an incredible deal!
Village PieMaker makes some very good pies, Strawberry Rhubarb is my favorite. Thanks for the review!
Our pleasure!

It costs more, but it’s a lot better.
Great review!!! Very interesting.

Imagine with a scoop of ice cream on The Village Pie Maker!
Oh YUM!!!
Mmmmm Cherry pie :D
Hands down Village Pie Maker wins !
