The first looked like a arctic fox. The second was more like a coyote or juvenile wolf. I very much doubt a eagle could kill a full grown wolf.
In the Mongolian Steppes they use Eagles to hunt wolves.
@@schuletrip that’s true but from what I’ve seen, usually two birds on one lone wolf. On a one v one basis, an eagle won’t be able to kill a healthy wolf. Not unless the eagles been on the steroids. Lol
It was a normal red fox, there were no Arctic foxes in the video. Wolfes differs a lot in size around the world. I am no expert in the absolute sizes from various places, but I think wolfes from Mongolia and this whole expanded area are among the smallest, also down through the Middle East and Africa,. Certainly at the size or smaller than a coyote.
Eagle can't kill a Big Breed Wolf like Gray Wolf, they always hunt a small one.
And the so called Impala is a young female Thompson gazelle. Impressive footage though.
It has nothing to do with mercy. The bird just got to eat and has amazing hunting skills for so to do.👍

Ok you guys, I do like the video, but interesting editing when you show the wolf and then the eagle takes down a fox instead at 1:20 They are majestic enough, you really don't have to enhance them more than they already are. Thanks, it's still a great collection of hunting eagles with hawks mixed in for good measure. Thumbs UP.

I think eagles hunt their prey very wonderfully and intelligently. I also think that the hunting skills of predators flying in the sky are very unique. In this video, they utilize their own advantages well in hunting. For example, they descend quickly to the target and snatch prey that lives on land. The scene where eagles fly while holding onto a deer, despite the deer being heavier than an eagle, is very surprising. 10706

Big indeed, almost turkey size but light quite like fish and super strong. Eagles are lighter on kilos although bigger in appearance due hollow light bones meant for flight.
I saw a bald eagle pick up someone's puppy on 301 north right before Callahan Florida in their front yard, never forget that.

Many of these attacks are from Falconry videos and, while still very impressive, not random shots. These are trained birds of prey used for hunting, a practice performed since 2000 BC. You can tell when you see the leather straps or "jesses" hanging from their talons which the trainer uses like a leash before allowing the bird to take flight and attack. Falconry is the oldest sport known to man.
Nature cannot be judged by human standards, it is not merciful nor is it merciless.

while keeping respect for the hunting skills of the king of the sky I would say I was literally laughing while watching the clips and i felt we were just trying to overrate eagle power when it comes to eagle hunting wolves or bears or some animals showcased in the video. I once violently ripped a carrot straight out of the ground- right in front of its family. I aggressively dismembered it then ate it raw right there and then.
