Vita, America has the same problem. Our military is all volunteer. When I was of military age, I was drafted at age 19 for the Viet Nam fiasco but I served anyway. SLAVA UKRAINI ❤
JNA was strong because every man was serving. After they destroyed country, destroyed army... we nothing now. Having only professional army is not good. War in Ukraine proved that.

I have been trying to understand why the draft age in Ukraine is so high. When we had a draft, it was for men 18-26 years old. As a former combat arms officer, 25 year olds are a bit more difficult to train.
As far as I understand it’s explained by future birthrate problems. But if there’s no Ukraine who will care about birth rate 🙄

In WW2 London used unused metro station to make weapons, 10:14 missiles and drones could be made in these ones again ? It’s an idea because it’s deep underground and hard to be hit by Russian attacks, love to you from!🇳🇿

While I watched those dear children walking towards a bomb shelter, it reminded me of how our children here in the US have to go through school shooting lockdown drills - and all of the children traumatized from being in actual shootings. What on earth are we doing to our children world-wide? We need to show them hope! Laugh in the face of fear and daily insecurity! Plant a flower, plant a tree, plant something you can eat - heck plant all of them! Spring forth with a positive mind that you are not alone! (Pray for those innocent people and children who have lost everything and are living in a war zone, suffering from dire hunger and thirst.) We all need to stop and be so grateful for what we have today, and never give up hope for a stronger tomorrow! I really enjoy your vids! Thank you so much for sharing Ukraine with us!

One night the sky lit up orange brighter than the sun. Something got thermobaric'd a few kms from us.

I know one Ukrainian man who left Ukraine for Montenegro to avoid serving in the army after 2014 -many thousands have done the same and many more since 2022 . Maybe when they return they should be trained to de-mine the fields . Only those willing to fight should be given a weapon to do so - how can a coward be trusted with a weapon ? Not all are cowards of course , some are just selfish individuals who resent government controlling their freedom to travel and work etc and don't care if Russia takes over Ukraine by military force .
But most of them use all the benefits and privileges of being a Ukrainian abroad. People help them in all possible ways.
But they are just traitors.

You are braver than my Ukrainian wife Vita , she fled to Romania , I brought her to Australia far from war , she didn't like living in a small town (400 population) . So she moved away and lives in a small city now where there are plenty of shops cafes , buses and a train service . Australian government provide financial assistance for her and perhaps residency in 2025 . Me ,well I did my best to help her land now no longer useful 🫤. To think , when the invasion started I told family if my wife gets killed I will go to Ukraine to avenge her death ...

I'm just back from visiting Kyiv. I didn't go to any shelter any of the times and the only time anything was heading for Kyiv, I slept through the siren too! I seem to miss the worst of it whenever I am there but I can't visit often, it's only been twice since 2022.
Holiday booked. I am taking my Ukrainian friends iryna and polina her 11 years old daughter out of kyiv for 2 weeks to sunny beach Bulgaria 🇧🇬. Giving them a rest from this war . Stay safe vita

I am enjoying the fact that Putin can't throw you out of a window unless and also you tee shirt - great message. But most of all, I'm very thankful for the way you are telling the world what is going on in Ukraine and how it is affecting the adults and children. Hi Vita, I can only imagine how you and millions of other Ukrainians have been suffering as a result of Putin's war against Ukraine. I fully sympathize with you. Maybe creating a video when you have been sleepless and frustrated by the lack of transport and other difficulties is therapeutic and a good way of venting. As your channel's followers we will gladly listen and each one of us will try in our own way to help Ukraine. Wars are generally bigger than families, individual lives and definitely longer than a month or year; so you may want to strategize to conserve your energies and mental stamina in preparation for the long haul. All those draft dodgers too had reached their limits and while I agree with you about standing for your country and fighting, I also know that not all people are equal, so I try not to judge as there are millions of people with millions of different life stories and reasons. But, I agree with you, if they are healthy they should stand and fight for their country. Maybe in future there will be "Draft Dodgers laws" that allow the government to tax the draft dodgers at a higher rate to pay for the expenses; or hopefully those young men will do positive things with their lives and learn new skills that they can bring back to Ukraine to rebuild the country. If I am in a bomb shelter and had not slept the night before, the first thing I would do is to take a nap in the shelter! So, in addition to the Window handle, bring along a small pillow and a blanket and take advantage of the shelter any chance you get. Also, all these unusual things that you are experiencing can be a source of inspiration for writing very good books. If I were you I would start making notes about different ideas for a book (or books) for both children and adults as a record in time, about what the Ukrainian children and adults and their University professors experienced during this elective war that Putin has imposed on Ukraine and his own country. I think all the excuses that Putin puts out about his rationale for war are nonsense; as the real reason is that Russia has a huge demographic problem and soon people of Mr. Putin's race who are in decline will be a minority; and to remedy Putin has started this war because he needs the Ukrainian people to procreate and solve his demographic problem, he has about 10-20 years only to gather more people, otherwise Russia may not be on any maps twenty or thirty years from now. Putin wants to kidnap your nation. Please get some rest. 🇺🇸❤🇺🇦

I’m torn on the draft dodger issue. While I have an opinion, until I find myself in that horrible situation, it’s best kept to myself and I won’t judge anyone else.
I am pro Ukraine but also understand every Ukrainian man who does not want to die on the front lines especially young ones without wife, children and land to defend. But the soldiers who are willing to fight should be rewarded handsomely with big chunks of LAND and special rights for post war period (tax exemptions). Maybe that could somewhat adress this divide in society
But most of motivated soldiers have been killed.
Who will defend Ukraine?

I'm from Canada and it's very sad it took so long for our country to start helping. In my opinion they should be doing even more sending in troops etc. Putin is a terrorist who needs to be stopped. Stay strong wish all of you the best.
