I was there just the last week it's amazing but I disagree with him on travelling by road . Roads are smooth and very safe there are many safari vehicles leaving Nairobi at the same time and there are police checkpoints at every half hour so don't worry travel by road it's amazing you'll get the most amazing views on road maasia people going for their daily lives . And it will be affordable . Do visit Kenya
There is a reason we like you to take the flight is its better for our economy but what did this guy say that our roads are not safe, which country is he from
9 years ago I travelled on road from Nairobi to Masai mara.. with our Gujarati indian Kenyan origin guide and the most friendly dude Robert.. safe AF.. makes no sense to fly there damn expensive
What do you mean roads in Kenya are not safe while you flew to the Reserve? How did you know they were not safe? Please don't perpetuate misconceptions.
I just watched that and I am shocked someone would say that the roads in Kenya are not safe 😏 DW should fact check this guy. Don't come to Kenya and abuse our intelligence
Thank you for that beautiful travel documentary of our magical country Kenya.Something l felt need correction is on our Kenyan roads...they are safe and adventurous.
Amazed to see Dhruv in my homeland Kenya, Karibu Kenya! This video is so wholesome and very well captured, very informative for anyone who wants to travel to the Mara, gives all info from A to Z. Thanks for showing this gem to the world. I was in the Mara about a month ago also.
We just visited Mahali Mzuri in Maasai Mara. It was a great trip. Flew in using Safari Link out of Wilson Airport. The flight crew were professional and experienced. Our staff at the camp and guide were exceptional and very kind hearted. Great experience and fun.
And feel free to use the roads, they are safe. But be warned of the traffic jams in Nairobi metro area, but road safety as mentioned is a false flag. Karibu Kenya
I am fortunate enough to have gotten the opportunity to experience a safari. I flew from Jamaica to Kenya via the US and Ethiopia. Nairobi was culturally similar to Kingston, except for the language and the fear of cameras being used in the public. Police and authority are so skittish about it and you could even have it taken away. The food is similar in many respects.I loved the roast goat at the market in town. I then travelled to the Mara by air from Wilson as I chose not to endeavor on that long road trip. Wanted to get there early so as to get in as many drives as possible before heading to the Serengeti. We landed at the Mara Serena airstrip and stayed at the Mara Serena. It was posh and high end and a beyond my expectations. I took the local bus from Nairobi to Arusha, Tanzania. The border crossing at Namanga was very eventful and seemed chaotic to me! Off to Serengeti it was for another wonderful experience and a long drive through the Ngorongoro and Central Serengeti. My only regrets were - not seeing the migration and the Rhino. It was an adventure that will live with me for the rest of my life! Thanks for reading.

As a Kenyan, I appreciate you visiting our nation. I however would like to dispute the comment that our roads are not safe, that's a wrong, misleading and unsubstantiated comment, as our roads are smooth and safe, and have been like that since time immemorial... Otherwise, we appreciate you. Thank you.
@IreneDavo what jigger victims??I know there are jigger and lice victims in India but in Kenya,i have no idea whatsoever and would be really interested to learn more about it. And roads flooding, never heard about roads to the Mara flood, even the topography of the region can not allow for floods on the roads, the only place you will experience that is inside the park and the reserves because the roads are undeveloped for the sole purpose of giving the traveler a proper safari experience, but from the park to the cities, come on.. I have been in the tours and travel industry for over a decade,so am speaking from experience
I like DW everything and this was amazing as well. Unintentionally International media tends to get some things wrong, but this was just too easy to verify on "road safety" if they actually drove or just omit that information if he didn't know for sure.
Yes , it's safe to travel by road from Nairobi to Masai mara. Just five days back I came back from Nairobi after visiting Masai mara & Nairobi. Evening /night driving may be risky as road lights are deficient . Otherwise with road travel you come across the other side of region, some good marketting venues & eateries. Yes you save time with air travel.
Nice video indeed! I am not sure though what you mean by 1:13 you would recommend flying as the roads in Kenya aren't the safest". You should have elaborated further because i have been to Masai Mara severally by road through the main gate of "Sekenani"! Perhaps if you said the roads are bumpy/rough which used to be some time back then i would have understood!
I don't understand where people gets this notion that Kenya isn't safe. It's probably the safest country on the continent and well above most western countries.
We went to serengiti same as Masaimara and experienced jungle sufaree of Africa it was a wonderful experience. Anyway wish both of u a happy married life
Roads good in Nairobi..Best to travel by Road...The rangers take care well... They see that you sight The beasts in close proximity...please do enter as early as possible..watch the sunrise with Lion family and previous nite hunt... I ensured I did my bucket list with perfect 💯
Congratulations to you Dhruv and Julie now finally we can call you as group bhaiya and Dhruv bhabhi, in professionally Mr and Mrs Rathee 👍, love from Kolkata
Beautiful. But why do you always point out a negative when it does not exist. Other than the understandably all weather roads inside the Mara, the roads are pretty smooth and extremely sceneric. No case of insecurity has ever been mentioned affecting the tourists along the route. The only negative thing I can say is only a mild traffic jam in very limited areas that's soon going to be a thing of the past.
Great video on Maasai Mara.As a Kenyan I am surprised that you said the roads are not safe. Next time please use the roads and you will realise what you missed and perhaps then correct the misinformation you have.
I got tired the moment he said ‘the roads in Kenya aren’t the safest ‘ that’s an insult to Kenyans and the government of Kenya 🇰🇪 for building and renovating all the the roads

He oughts to correct that
Came here to comment about the put down on our roads... thanks for vouching for it.

They finally get married ❤️
Congratulation to dhruv and Juli
Roads in Kenya are super safe. The video is good but why mislead the world?
What do you mean roads in Kenya are not safe while you flew to the Reserve? How did you know they were not safe? Please don't perpetuate misconceptions.
Where are you?
That's the narrative sold to tourists by safari companies to profit on air charters and expensive safari packages
Because he is paid to said this all things
They are very much safe..i've been there one week ago
I just watched that and I am shocked someone would say that the roads in Kenya are not safe 😏 DW should fact check this guy. Don't come to Kenya and abuse our intelligence
Thank you for that beautiful travel documentary of our magical country Kenya.Something l felt need correction is on our Kenyan roads...they are safe and adventurous.
He was very misguided on that
Do you know about Jigger Victims?
Do they get flooded?
So sweet ! 🙌🙌🇮🇳🇮🇳
Point of correction: The roads to the Maasai Mara in Kenya are SAFE! Not sure what you mean by claiming driving there is unsafe.

I find the flying recommendation instead of using the road for them being unsafe is not well informed. Kenyan roads to maasai mara are very safe
Thanks for the tip! Good to have you here in our community, obviously you know the area well! Greetings!
@@DWTravel But which data did you use to arrive at that conclusion?
