    Get yourself a cuticle trimmer for your finger, you'll find it in the same area in stores for nails. It's the long stick with the V-shaped tip to help with removing the locking ring. I have the same shock and found that this is one of the easiest way to remove that spring.

    Thanks for showing me how to change my spring. Im used to just having the stopper be a "U" shape that you can easily remove.
    Kinda crazy how all that weight is being supported by that tiny ring o.O

    • @jgaronbars
      @jgaronbars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      my riding weight is around 63 to 65 kgs.. i based on tftuned. i chose a spring rate that’s a bit higher that the recommended rate just for additional bottom out support. 🙂

    Hindi ako maalam sa spring shocks pero marami ako nakikita na ito ang gamit mas ok daw kesa sa air

    • @jgaronbars
      @jgaronbars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      bikebikepinas maganda ang coil sir kung progressive yung design ng suspension ng bike. pero pag linear yung design ng suspension ng bike, possible madaling mabottom out pag ngspring. kaya for linear suspension, advisable yung air shock.

  • @monkey-mockingbird738
    @monkey-mockingbird738 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    sir, bakit po ang wheel travel na naka lagay sa spring calculator mo is 6.5 inches at hindi 8.5 inches mag kaiba ba yun numbers na yun 8.5x2.5 (shock stroke)?

    • @jgaronbars
      @jgaronbars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes sir.. yung sa tf tuned yung 6.5inches is yung wheel travel ng bike ko. yung sa akin 165mm yung wheel travel ko which is equivalent to 6.5inches. yung 8.5 inches eh yun yung eye to eye measurement ng shock mismo which is dapat match sa supported na mount ng frame mo.

    yo estoy perdido, me he comprado el dhx2 2021 metrico 230x57.5 para una megatower, y no doy con el muelle adecuado para esa medida soy un poco ingenuo en eso

    • @jgaronbars
      @jgaronbars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      230x57.5 means your shock stroke is 57.5 which is equivalent to 2.26inches shock stroke. You should get a spring that has a spring travel of more than 2.26inches. But can't tell the maximum length of the spring you can get. 230x57.5 is not listed on the Fox DHX2 Spring Fitment table www.ridefox.com/fox17/help.php?m=bike&id=672
      I would suggest you reach out to Fox or your local bike shop to check.

  • @675nero

    Long spring will compress more, its like a rod the longer the rod more it will bend end to end. So less coil will be firm and more coil will be plush. With the same coil thickness. It becouse of the torsion of the coil.
