great rebuild, but did that method of bleeding remove all the air? typically i see people using a syringe at the bleed port, cycling the shock, opening and closing adjusters to remove every last bubble of air.
Hi, this is the like original bleed prosess from fox too, and I think push the bleed syringe by pressing your thumb with gloves not will easy to remove air from system. Thanks for connecting us ☺️
Hello! I am struggling to figure out if this generation's shox can adjust their stroke/travel with spacers? If so, is it the part ( FOX 233-00-290 Spacer DHX2 Travel 9mm Shaft 5mm TLG ) or (FOX Shock DHX2 Metric & Trunnion Spacer Assembly) I would need to purchase? I have 250x75mm performance elite shock that I would want to shave 5mm away to make it fit my other bike that runs 250x70mm. The longer stroke at the moment would make the swing arm contact the main frame on bottom out as it is too long.
Thanks for posting this. The bearing assembly (part number 812-06-086) on my shock has a different internal seal to the one you're working on, it's a single low friction seal, unlike the o ring and split washer on yours. Do you know if they're interchangeable (both in the service kit) and if one is better than the other? For anyone like me who doesn't have the bullet tool and is too tight to buy one, I successfully made one out of an old ballpoint pen. 😁
Hi, I think you need a correct seal kit for your shocks , check your shocks model year and get accordingly seals kit, Making a bullet tool through ball pen cover, Nice idea 💡
i too am confused. in the same boat as you. Buddy from Butter suspensions says the hard oring and split ring is for the float x2 air shock, which doesn't make sense to me. and the service manual on fox has a picture of the harder o-ring being installed
@@TheBarrettrussell I spoke to another suspension guy who also wasn't sure. He suggested I try the split washer and o ring as it would cause less friction and it wouldn't hurt to try it.
Yoooo, this is awesome. Is there any chance you could make a tutorial for the Marzocchi Bomber CR?? I've looked everywhere and can't find a nice clean tutorial.
Thanks 😊 th-cam.com/users/shortscI75S-dqFHo?feature=share Check above video if that can help out you... And very sure I will make a full detailing video for you, but it will take time as when I get any bomber for service at that time I can only do. Keep in touch 😊
also, on the fox website, there's a complete step by step guide with pictures. (2011-2020 VAN P-S Rebuild). The VAN R / RC is identical to the Bomber CR.
I rebuilt the suspension and it works perfectly only problem is that it's leaking through the seals on the bearing assembly where the shaft is what could cause this problem?
@@nasa-biketech I thought they had discontinued fox 10wt red or am I wrong. I saw in the manual I am able to use fox 4wt or should I use another alternative? Thanks for your help
Massimo from Italy . Thank you for publishing this very precise and professional tutorial! 👍👍👍
Welcome to Nasa-biketech 🙌
You are welcome 🤗 and thanks for your valuable comments.
Thank you so much for this nice Video probably the best out there 🙂
Thankyou for your valuable feedbacks and support ❤️🙏
Thanks, will make adjuster video for you for sure,
Also for fork and shocks, keep in touch. Cheers
Great video! Thanks , have one to rebuild now. Need to take apart the adjusters any advice? Looking forward to other forks and shocks videos

Have you replace oil seals ?
@@nasa-biketech yes I have rebuilt a few times to make sure it was right any other ideas tysm for you help I appreciate it!

Will the Fox Shox Suspension Bath Oil, R3 5wt 025-06-007 work fine in the shock or will i need fox 10wt red. Are there any alternatives as well?
Hi
Please use same as recommended oil in the shocks and fork to avoid damaged oil seals.
@@nasa-biketech I thought they had discontinued fox 10wt red or am I wrong. I saw in the manual I am able to use fox 4wt or should I use another alternative? Thanks for your help
Why do I have a completely different seal on the U-cup body?
Can you share seal kit number, that might be for 2020+ service kit
My 2019 dhx2 does not have working rebound and compression adjustment. What could be the problem?
Hi
That need I think rebuild and make sure the reservoir has a pressure as recommended
@@nasa-biketech thank you for your answer! I sold the junk...
i see in the video the shaft is scratched, is it not leaking?
We have repaired that with coating of Araldite adhesive, and that's working fine.
My shock doesn’t rebound without coil is that a problem?
Yes,
Rebound function can work without coil
Have you service your shocks recently? If yes than I think shocks need bleed again.
@@nasa-biketech it wasn’t my air pressure could there be another reason it won’t rebound at this point I pretty much have to rebuild it right?
That Shock shaft is ruined and will always leak
We have repaired that shaft using araldite adhesive.. you can also try . And shocks is still working fine till tha date.
