For all my brilliant U.K. friends, you can get 10% off Aftershokz by using the code: "shokzstar".
Going back through your reviews and Matt, you’re a legend man! Keep it up!
Thanks for digging into the archives! I'm always a little embarrassed about my older videos, but also surprised how little I've changed. 🤣
Will definitely be getting myself a pair! Can’t wait!
They’re worth every penny! Let me know how you like them once you get them! If you’re in the U.S., don’t forget to use the 15% off code in the show notes. 👊🏼
I was gifted my first pair of aftershokz 4ish years ago. I will never wear anything else. They are great!
IBX Running Agreed! I think everyone, especially athletes, should try them!
I’m in love with my Aftershokz! I use them every time I go out!
RunningGeekGirl That’s high praise! I haven’t found anyone who has tried them not like them (but perhaps they’re just not commenting 🤷🏻♂️)
How to be you?
Great review, picked up a pair from your link. Never tried bone conduction headphones before, but luckily aftershokz has a fairly generous return policy
Yes, they really stand behind their product! I think you’ll really like them!
Nice content. I wasn't aware of this brand until now and the sitting outside the ear thing is super interesting - up until that point I was wondering why they needed the titantium band around the head...seemed like going back a few yrs tech-wise but makes total sense now. I've been using Jabra and Samsung totally wireless buds with the 'hear-thru' feature to allow ambient sound for the last 5 years and I like the unencumbered feeling of that. I rarely run on roads though. Usually forest trails. This product makes sense for road runners for sure and whenever trail running there's always a feeling that an ear bud may fall out and then be hard to find. Aftershokz look quite good.
SoleBrother They’re definitely worth giving a go. I tried running with my AirPods (with the pass through audio), but I find I keep worrying about losing one. My Aftershokz will never fall off my head and just feel a little more, I don’t know, appropriate when running!
Good review! You convinced me to get a pair for Christmas
Do you live in the US? Don’t forget the link in the video’s show notes. It’ll get you 15% off!
Great video very motivating! Interesting headphones!
Thanks for watching, Jesus!👊🏼
Nice video Matt!
Cheers, David! 👊🏼
I need these so I can listen to some cool tunes while vacuuming at work.
Thanks for watching and you're in the drawing, however, vacuuming is one of the things these headphones will not be ideal to use while doing. Because your ears aren't blocked with the headphones, a lot of outside noise will drown out whatever you're listening to. I'm sure you'll fins another use for them if you win!
I would love to join your birthday;-) because I am still very eager to try these headphones! Good review as always!
Thanks Marielle! These headphones are pretty good for everything, and the price is a lot better than some of the other Aftershokz headphones! The headphones I'm giving away are shipping straight from Aftershokz, so they can only be shipped to the US or Canada (this time). ☹️
@@its_Matt_B_ ah that's sad but I hope you make someone else happy. Do you think the aeropex is worth the extra money for 2 hrs extra battery life and being waterproof or would you recommend the open move? Unfortunately the discount is also only for US 😭
Marielle van Oort I’ll check with a friend in the UK and see if he has a code that works in NL. 🤔 The Aeropex are quite a bit more expensive than the OpenMove, but them being completely water proof gives me a feeling of security. I haven’t had any trouble with my Aeropex over the last year....ugh...it’s a difficult decision. I think the OpenMove would work for 99% of runners in most situations and most would want to save the money!
@@its_Matt_B_ thank you very much Matt that would be very nice! I think I will go for the openmove if I really enjoy them I can always upgrade to the aeropax.
Marielle van Oort I think that’s a good choice!
Great review, loved the water resistant bit. Being a trail runner, I didn't dare wear headphones, afraid I wouldn't hear bear and moose. Aftershokz look like a great safe option!
Cheers, Kelly! IDK if i'd like to wear them with bear and moose around. Those things can be pretty stealthy!🤣
@@its_Matt_B_ 😂 Crap, true.
just found out about this yesterday... and yeap, alright, you convinced me! do you know of any discount code for México?
No, sorry, Paoui! I would recommend contacting Aftershokz and asking for a discount code for Mexico. At least you could call/email them and tell them about my code but it won’t work in Mexico. They may honor it.
I need to get some new headphones soon. I had a cheap pair of Anker a couple years ago that were great but I put them through the ringers with rain and Canadian winter conditions so they only lasted about a year. For the price though it wasn’t bad. However, these aftershock look interesting.
These headphones really are pretty good, and the price is fantastic! Stay tuned to the channel for give-a-way info!
Matt Bertrand woot! Looking forward to it 😊
Jon's Conscious Life 🥳
Was there any improvement from the previous version to this one?
This comes in at a lower price point ($99.95 for the OpenMove vs. $159.95 for the Aeropex). The OpenMove are being marketed as an everyday headphone, rather than the Aeropex, which are specifically for sports. As far as improvements, the sound is a little better on the OpenMove and they're using Bluetooth 5.0 now.
I recently bought my parents a pair each of the Aeropex on a Costco sale, but skimped out for myself 😔 Would you say the new Openmove would be a good substitute for me considering the $100 price difference here in Australia?
@@jlo6544 Yes, the OpenMove are a very good option to save money! You just have to be careful how wet you get them!
How's the sound/audio quality compare to Aeropex
I can’t really tell a difference in the sound quality between the two.
Nice they look good, waiting for mine to turn up
Yiannis Christodoulou ahh, nice! I’m glad you ordered some. You’ll really enjoy then, Yiannis!
Matt Bertrand Think I will😊👍
Great review
Cheers, Rover, and thanks for watching! 👊🏼
Man i wish things were cheaper in Australia! $129 Openmove vs $249 for the Aeropex 😢 Great review though, thanks so much! Now to just try to save for some....
With the exchange rate, the OpenMove are actually less expensive in Australia than in the U.S.. The Aeropex are exactly the same in both places. (I realize that doesn’t make them any cheaper! 🙄😂)
I would like to get them using the 15% discount code you put provided. But I'm in the UK. If it possible to use a code in the UK?
I only have a 10% discount code for UK buyers. Use the code “shokzstar”
Many thanks. Does this discount code work on Amazon or only through the official Aftershockz website?
@@bilaltahir9978 It’s through the Aftershokz website. 👍
@@its_Matt_B_ that's brilliant. Many thanks
Hi new to channel. Interested in headphones with better ambient sound capabilities as my ear buds allows sound but for whatever reason can’t really tell where’s it’s coming from - which as you alluded, is a safety issue (in fact I usually run without music because of that). Is there an issue with hearing sound when running into the wind since your ear cavity is open? I would think not. Thanks! Great content.
Hey Manny! Thanks for being a part of the channel!
Aftershokz are excellent for running exactly because your ear canal is open. Yes, if it’s very windy you may hear the wind over the music. The same thing happens when you wear them around any loud external noise. This can be eliminated by wearing earplugs, but obviously no one wears earplugs while running. 🤣 They are still far better for running into the wind than earbuds with pass through audio. I find when I wear earbuds, the sound of the wind is amplified by the microphones picking up the outside noise!
If you’re thinking about picking up a pair of Aftershokz, check out my discount link in the show notes of all my videos! 👊🏼
Great review matt i am saba you know me from strava
Saba Production Yes, of course! Thanks so much for watching! 👊🏼
do u think it can be use when shower?
It would probably be ok, but if you really want to shower with them on you should buy the OpenRun. I have a link in the show notes to get 15% off!
I'm having issues with battery life....sales pitch is 8hours, I'm lucky to get 4 hours.....
The advertised battery life is 6 hours. The Aftershokz Aeropex last 8 hours, but they’re $60 more.
Are you listening to them for 4 hours straight? If not, are you turning them off when you’re done listening?
@@its_Matt_B_ I bought the Aeropex, my workout yesterday was an 81k Long Brick, tick over 4h30m....at around 4h the nice lady says "power off'.... but I was listening to Black Sabbath!
@@neilcavill1884 Ugh! What a pain! I think you should reach out to Aftershokz; they have good customer service and a solid return policy! Maybe there’s something wrong with your pair specifically! Good luck! 👊🏼
@@its_Matt_B_ second pair.....not hopeful.
@@neilcavill1884 Ugh! I'm sorry to hear that!
Hey everyone! Interested in the aftershokz.
Thanks for watching, Bradley! 👊🏼
I really want to get a pair, but am considering trying a cheaper pair from Amazon that gets good reviews.
Tammy Mazzatenta Ok, but the Amazon pair; you can always return them if you win a pair of these in my give-a-way! 👍🏼
Matt Bertrand I would love to win them!!
Tammy Mazzatenta 🤞
Matt Bertrand so I decided to give the Aftershokz a try. I’ve used your link and will let you know how I like them.
Tammy Mazzatenta Nice! I know you’ll love them!
Would love to win a pair of these! All my wired headphones have been reclaimed by my sons so I’m left without music. They don’t like Bluetooth ones so these would be solid as they won’t take them lol. Awesome review!
Great review 👍!
Haha! These are exactly what you need!😂
Cheers, Paola! Thanks for watching!
@@its_Matt_B_ I agree 100% lol
So these work great as running headphones? :)
These would work great as running headphones, but personally, I usually grab the Aftershokz Aeropex because they’re fully waterproof and the battery lasts a bit longer. Whatever you go with, be sure to use the discount code on the show notes.
Great review. Thanks for sharing.
Much Luv Fr Mannys Fitness Program!
Cheers, Manny, and thanks for watching! 👊🏼Check out the discount link in the show notes if you decide to buy a pair!
Nice
Thanks for watching! 👊🏼
You don't have a bike? 🙄
Dr Deepak Rao Did I just get an eye roll for not having a piece of equipment for a sport I don’t participate in? 😂
@@its_Matt_B_ yup. It is a sport you would love :-)
Dr Deepak Rao I was a triathlete before focusing on running, so I’ve had years of cycling experience. I discovered I just enjoyed running the most, and also cycling on the road with cats just seems inherently dangerous! The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze for me.
Was said in a lighter vein
Dr Deepak Rao Yes, I took it that way! 👍🏼
