Great rig man! This is the combo I’ve been imagining for a while (C400, 24-105, Ronin). Thank you for sharing! Question, have you tried flying that combo at a shoot besides having it on the slider, if so, how well does it handle? How much clearance do you get on the back before it touches? Would you rather go handheld/easyrig instead? Thank you!
Hey! I haven’t had a chance yet, but I will definitely test that for sure, hopefully in the next couple days. I’ll come back to you most likely with a video to show you how it goes.
I'm waiting on an email from my retailer to go get my own C400, can't wait! How are you feeling now you've had yours a few days? Still feeling good about the camera? Before I can't turn back anymore haha
Haha don’t be nervous, you’ll love it. I’m a big fan of the larger body size compared to the c70 and I’m loving the full frame look of the sensor. Don’t get me wrong, I love what the c70 offered and the work I did with it, it will be an amazing b cam now. When shooting 4k im enjoying being able to use the digital Tele-zoom option like my r5c has, that’s handy to have a good quality digital zoom option given the size of the sensor. My only complaint so far for the c400 is the exhaust fan blows right onto my wrist when using the hand grip. Still getting used to that warm air tickling my arm 🥴
@@videographerstuff539 If the little fan is the biggest issue, I think I can live with that haha. I'm coming from R5C which will become B-cam. I'm hoping to use the combo as I'm moving more into narrative projects and want to use it for that + commercial/doc work to pay the bills.
@@videographerstuff539 right now I'm mostly using the 15-35 f2.8 RF and a 100mm macro adapted, occasionally 70-200 and a 35mm prime by samyang. Next on the list will be lens situation, I've rented the 24-105 you have and it's certainly tempting, though with where I'm going a nice set of clean cine-primes like nisi Athena sounds good too....
That’s a nice kit you’ve got! Yeah the lure of cine lenses is always dangling over us all hahaha I’m keen to get the rf 15-35 2.8 sometime soon, to replace my old ef one. You could probably save a couple thousand and sit pretty with the rf 24-70 IS, it looks like a beauty for the price.
thanks again for the videos. I think the weight is well within the capacity of the ronin, at least for the 3 and 4 pro versions which can take 4.5 (advertised, they can actually take more). I think it's a matter of tweaking the settings. And maybe with a power cable to the camera you can off load some weight too.
Yeah great call, I’ve just ordered a 4 pin to dtap cable to be able to do that option. Do you use any of the active track settings on the gimbal? I haven’t really used those much, I just use the gimbal as is normally.
@@videographerstuff539 I only used it once to try it out, it worked well but I never see myself using it on a paid gig. If I do anything at home that requires tracking I use the DJI pocket 3 and it works perfect for that type of use. I do however remember putting all the settings as smooth as possible, high deadband but medium-fast speed. I used the R5 + 28-70 F2

Hi ,do you have any interested in doing a review of the synco xtalk intercom headset ?
Hey Kristy, I believe we chatted about this a few months ago and as I’m based in Australia it was not feasible on your end. Cheers
@@videographerstuff539 😂ok,sorry i forget
Haha no worries, try @alexanderjawfox he is in the US

Yeah that will work nicely for sure! What lenses do you use with the r5c atm?

Oh nice! That lens is a beast! I was tempted but didn’t have the money to add it into my kit.
@@videographerstuff539 haha was well worth it to me! But now that the 24-15 F2.8 is out I'll have to get one for the new camera
Can never have too many lenses 😜
