Vermeeren bossed the midfield in their win against Barcelona!! Crazy, I think he could start right now for us. However it could be too soon. The prem/championship/Scottish league are all way more physical and fast paced than the other leagues. So I really think we need someone now. Hear me out, James Garner of Everton. He plays CDM and RB and has become a solid home grown player. We could give them Hojbjurg on a 6month loan fully paid for plus 20mil for Garner, I think we could get him. That would also help Ebertons FFP situation and prevent them from selling Onana to Atsenal 👹
Ashley Phillips didn’t have best match for Plymouth yesterday making a key error. Devine on the other hand was excellent. The loan experience will do both a LOT of good and I have confidence in both making it in future.
I know it is just information, and Sean does a great job disseminating it with clarity. Equally you have Tottenham Away TV throwing cold water on any kind of investment that does not include impacting the first team now. Here is part what gets me: Those guys said they support and believe in what Ange is doing. Fairly play. However, Ange said there are fundamental issues that exist at Spurs, and that is the challenge to change that. First, he said the entire squad inherited are all my players, and as long as they buy in, we move forward. While some are clamoring for trophies and big signings, it seems the priority looking in at Ange is to build something that lasts beyond him. The identity of how the club functions is a top priority. We got off to a good start, and thus, the expectation has shifted by some, but Ange is quick to point out that we are building something here. Personally, I think spending $60M on future signing is a bit much considering the age in the midfield. If we are moving Skipp and Hojberg. It may worth it, but I think we put $15M on that number and get Lorenzo Chiesa one of the best #10 out there, or get Dybala as a short term fix at the #10 spot.
ali golds videos are too long i don’t have time, tottenham tv are way too biased, these are perfect, un biased yet opinionated, not youtube shorts but don’t have to dedicate an hour, mix of stats and opinions plus the bonus of bugsy also really love the intro, you’ve built a great community, keep it up sean !!! also please can we get vermeeren, reminds me of Dembele
I wonder if the relationship with Plymouth could develop to the extent that we teach them to play Angeball through coaching swaps and in return they give our youth guaranteed minutes.
I thought people were saying Vermeeren was too lightweight for the Premier League and he'd just end up being a Gil Mk2, yet the transfer rumours are intensifying from Spurs' side ??? (for the record, I've always been on the "Vermeeren Bandwagon")..
You covered it at the tail end of this video. But I'll reiterate as it is a point I would like to make. Over the last seven years or so, Tottenham don't exactly have a great track record of nuturing talent and bringing them through. Marcus Edwards, Noni Madeuke, Romain Mundle, Jack Clarke, and Dilan Marakanday, to name a few all faced a barrier to first team football and all of them had to leave in order to prevent their careers stagnating at the club. Even top prospects like Gil and Sess we haven't been able to utilise to their full potential and even the best young talent we've had come out of the Academy in Skipp and Tanganga are players many fans want out of the club ASAP. I'm all for project youth but we need the sprinkling of high caliber finished articles to help solidify the team and give us that extra edge. If you look at our best signings over the last seven years they aren't WIP players they're players who're essentially the finished article that've come in and hit the ground running such as Porro, Udogie, Bentancur, VDV, Deki and ofc Maddison.
If we could get both Nusa and Vermeeren deals done, even if they both do not arrive until the summer, then I think that would be our best January transfer window we have ever had!! Great insights and content as always Sean, makes my drive to or from work a pleasure each day 💪🏼💪🏼
Why is anyone panicking over any deals? If Nusa didn't happen, there are various other young players we are linked to. Whatever happens I trust the club and we go from there.
It's not surprising that we can spend money when most teams in the top leagues are struggling. Finances have been increased over decades of planning to get to this point. Decades of making decisions to get to this point by the people in charge
I think the fact we brought in madders last summer shows that we can buy players for the here and now, the vermeerans and nusas are prospect and should be treated as such they need time to grow and not have these crazy expectations put on them
I agree these two are exciting prospects and the future looks bright if they come off. But we need to have one eye on this season as I think UCL next season gets us Gimenez and with it maybe a trophy. Possibly the UCL! In Ange we trust. COYS
this is very very impressive work by the club.. With all the talk of ffp advantage and wait till the summer is all good and well. My wish was/is that the club try and start capitalizing now . And the fact that it seems they have picked the category of "young foriegn " talent to address now is fantastic. And this is the kind of innovative thinking which levy lacked over recent times. The buyloanback is such a smart move . It seems others are now influencing these decisions now and that is advisable and beneficial. These two are too top 18 yr old that are ready now. Long may this continue .if we sort out our young targets this window, then summer will be for the 2 to 3 marquee signings ....

I'm not entirely convinced by all theses "young stars" from belgium especially given the prices we're being quoted , i feel we're at a stage where we need to buy established players who have proven themselves in a top 6 league , we're in a smilar position to liverpool when klopp first joined , they bought the likes of mane allison van djik salah wijnaldum robertson matip fabinho keita ect ... all of whom had proved their credentials in a top 6 league and went on to win everything

Well I believe the likes of Nusa and Vermeeren aren't counted as overseas players until they are 21 so that's at least a couple of seasons off and by that time some overseas players will be gone and hopefully the likes of Donley, Dorrington and Devine will have become first team squad players and improved our home grown strength. Both players look to have really great potential but I also think both Wharton and Hackney look very good young players who also have high potential Fingers crossed we can get some deals done
Adam wharton will be better option cheap and will be bargain deal. Also he have better vision, passing, and switch of play than vermeeren at the moment, and vermeeren isnt next de jong. He is comfortable playing no 6 than no 8, needs time to develop his defensive game in that no 6 position
I too share your confidence in the Nusa deal getting over the line and I know I'm being a little greedy here but I really would like to see us bring just one more quality signing in to really 'ice the cake' on this transfer window. Fingers crossed. Big up Sean, hope you and Bugsy stay safe in the Isha storm.
Fascinating video as always, it is really exciting and encouraging to see the way things are developing at the club. The way things are going its not unrealistic to see us win the title in the not too distant future. Great content, this is the go to place for intelligent and insightful analysis of all things Tottenham 👌

That's not what I heard. Plymouth fans were raving about Phillips saying they've never before seen an 18 year old with such composure
I have commented before that we just need Vermeeren and Nusa in the remaining window.Ange can develop them with his coaching

Vermeeran is a risk for the Prem. Technically gifted enough but size? Not yet
Doubt we get Vermeeren tbh. A lot of clubs want him and Athletico are in the forefront. Adam Wharton’s more likely
