Great reviews, enjoy watching all the plunge reviews. Just purchased the tub thanks to this review and specifically got the V2 Tub. I like the slanted design and seems like an even more comfortable experience than the original tub. Cory recommended it to me when I spoke to him. Same capacity as well. I initially wanted the barrel but im 6'2 240 lbs and figured with the steps, the barrel probably takes up the same amount of space. Think you'll do a review on the new Version 2 of the tub? And do you think this will be comfortable given my height and weight?
@@leelunk8235 I ordered my Ice Up system before I ever saw anything about the 300 honestly. I think I actually was one of the first 10 or so people to give Ice Up some business! There were no reviews on their website at all and I actually called the company because I was nervous it wasn't "real". They answered all of my questions and one of the owners (Cory) even face timed me after my unit arrived and helped me get it up and running. I can't say enough positive things about Ice Up.
I ordered there chiller in August. Just got it this week. Really like the thing but yeah 4 month wait is a little tedious. And I couldn't plunge for 2 months because I drilled the holes in my tub expecting my chiller then haha. But so far for the price I'm not disappointed.
Great review as always 👍. I’m going with the tub. I’m 6’5” and before I spend thousands of dollars for a ReNu …ect….want to make sure I’ll actually use it.
@@DavidMausJr Yes! They are very compelling and unique in many ways because they are in the lower high end of 2.9k and I also haven't seen too many videos of them. I was planning on partially getting the case from them or rather the company they use.
@@DavidMausJr I’ve tried dropping the link in this thread but my comments aren’t showing up. It’s from ModTub. Just a huge 2” thick Grizzly cooler with a pump, filter, and chiller. There’s not a lot of videos about them.
How sturdy is the tup? 71 years old and need to use the sides to push myself up. Want to make sure it would support pushing up my weight. 6.2 tall and 290 pounds so needs to be sturdy. Will be in garage in northern Pennsylvania. I think I could go with just the tub with out chiller to start. I have one of the cheap tubs now to start out. And it is working but doesn't hold temp
When you spoke to the owner did he mention about deflation over time? I’ve looked all over the internet and can’t find any answers about these portable tubs and how often you need to pump them up. I feel like this might be the best solid entry level plunge because of the price and how easy it is to move. But there is not a lot of reviews on it besides yours. - I also notice that you don’t talk about this plunge as much as the others, do you think it’s because it’s out of the way on your doc and not in close proximity like the others? Or is it because the other plunges truly are better? Would love to see more videos on this plunge and the tub variation too. Keep up the great work!
I've heard you say that there have been issues with the all in one chiller. What are your thoughts of getting the inflatable barrel and using your ice barrel diy kits with the 1/4 hp chiller?
surprisingly the Ice Up all in one is one of the all in ones I havent had any issues with. You should easily be able to do that if you go that route though
This is the video I came to your channel to find. I'm still so torn, though. I'm currently using the Icepod. I like that I can step in without steps and just sit right down. It's a little too cramped for me to dunk my head, though. I sit cross legged with one of my feet pushed up against the side in a sometimes uncomfortable position. The IceUp barrel is much deeper, though. When you get in, do you sit crosslegged or have the souls of your feet on the floor? The long tub seems like a better option as I wouldn't have to contend with stairs. But, are there any drawbacks to laying like that as opposed to a more upright position?
I'm torn between the tub and barrel. Have you noticed the sides bowing out of the tub when full of water? I had read a review that said they bowed out and didn't allow a full seal between the lid and tub.
I've been wondering what the cost of running this all year was vs box plunge. Definitely feel like a freezer based one is probably cheaper.... But have not seen any kind of cost comparison.
@@tylerhunter1241 freezers are cheaper for sure. Boxplunge does pull a little more constantly (still low, around 2 amps) because it has a pump and ozone, but its less power through the day.
@DavidMausJr pull more than freezers or pull more than something like the ice up? Thanks, I'm saving up to get a good plunge next year so lots of time to decide... And in the mean time use one of those tarp+pole ones.... Great during winter (except when frozen solid.....) but a pain in summer as I don't want to buy ice.... But I toss some chunks of ice in to get it cooler at least. Thankfully it's in a spot that is shaded all day.
Hey mate, just curious about the dirty residue/moldy marks, does it come off easy enough? they only down side I can see, is with the upkeep of this colour. great videos!
Hey my friend! So if I was living there full time I would be able to keep it much cleaner, but it will come off with a typical mildew soap. That shouldnt happen to others if they are taken care of more.
I purchased an Ice Barrel 5 weeks ago using your discount code. I reached out to the company asking for an update and they have been non responsive. Is this typically and should it take this long? Not used to such poor service.
So sorry its taking so long, did you order the 300 or 400? The 300 has been a back logged mess, they did not expect so sell so many so fast. But they are a solid team and the product is solid too. I think it will be worth the wait.
@@DavidMausJrAppreciate the great reviews ! Moving back to Palm Harbor in a few weeks, pretty close by, and a plunge is on the short list.
