A Sustainable Gable House on the Countryside of Zealand

  • On the far northern countryside of Zealand, the TK-33 House combines efficient compact living with sustainability. Instead of building a typical contemporary house with a load-bearing structure of concrete, the architects at Tegnestuen LOKAL decided to go for the more sustainable choice of cladding a wood structure with brick shingle, thus creating unique architecture as well as an interesting story to tell.

Wow beautiful house. Can you send me the name of the Architect? I would love to have this type of house.

hey there, @5.00 you stated the sun is to the south and goes over to the west through those windows. However, that's if you're in the northern hemisphere right? Down under here in Aus and NZ for example, we always aim to build to capture our sun during winter through our 'northern facing' windows. NZ have some amazing residential architecture especially around Lake Taupo, Queenstown etc. Hope you got to see some examples. NZ is beautiful.

That is correct. It all depends on which side of equator one's vantage point is.
I am acquainted with many projects from New Zealand and have previously written articles about some of them. Incredibly beautiful. Hopefully, one day we can travel there to shoot some house tours.

i would prefer a video style like arch digest. no funny situations, no car scenes, and better video quality

Thanks for the feedback. The concept is living, so that’s why we are trying to portray how it is to live there - from going there to the natural situations that arise. Luckily, this is just the beginning so we are still learning and are eager to improve for every episode. 👍🏼

In love with the exterior of the house but that interior… wow… what a complete mess.

its not about you...supposed to be about the house!! less of you if any and more of the house

poor content, choose if you want to do comedy or property tours, poor camera use, shaking and moving a lot, close range shooting only hence no wide views inside the house, most of the first third of the video is more into the environment and pieces than the house itself.
well since its 2 years ago, i think you have improved by now....cheers.
