It basically means "talk to me again or I'll kill myself" (that's how i see it, anyway)
She writes her songs with purpose, but also in a way that leaves them very open to interpretation

I think it's more a metaphor - "bury the hatchet" doesn't mean literally dig a hole and put a hatchet in it. It more means "end an argument". So the way I see it, it more means "end the argument, or end the friendship".
Whoever made that music video should be making scary movies. That was probably the best music video I've ever seen.

From a producer, this is actually why is sounds so creepy: her main vocals are actually pitch shifted down to specific notes that pertain to the chords, not octaves and not a vocoder although it sounds similar. The reason it sounds like an octave down is because they turned the formant of her voice down to sound really deep
I was about to say, because it isn't unison, there's definitely harmony in the vocals

I love how unique she is. Her music grabs you and takes you on an unconventional journey. Her videos are a definite mind trip. Amazing!
She is my favorite artist and the high pitched sound is a dental drill
She's actually singing all of the octaves, her voice is pitched down 12 semitones, or however many semitones and however many times that are necessary for the harmonies. It's all her, there's no other person lol.
There are differing notes, too. They aren't all just octaves. One of the lower harmonies in the chorus is almost the same pitch for every note, but on the "where do we go," instead of rising and then falling like the main melody, it falls and then rises.

When the song (or singer, I suppose) doesn't include a lot of breaths, it creates an eerie-ness that makes it seem as though implying that the singer doesn't breathe or, in combined with this horror movie styled music video and song, like the singer does not *need* to breathe. The singer in the context of the previously mentioned style might not be a human, despite their outward appearance.
