I would simplify this by just knowing your tracks...everything else come naturally! When I was spinning vynal we didn't have it this easy with software.
Ive Learnt Off VDJ And Currently Switched Over To Serato Intro Using My Mixdecks Never thought it would be so hard but im getting there quick and learning quick At home and at live gigs :) Practice practice practice!
i greatly appreciate the video brother! the color coding timing has helped my show immensely!!!! keep up the good work ;) like you said now i can socialize more because i know the times are mapped right just by color
Hi Djs of the world. I am starting to learn and found this video really interesting. Fore those, like me who had problems to get the visual aid to set the cues with 1-2-3-4-5 and colors, don t forget to unplug your controller otherwise you don t see them ^^ But One question : If I move all the tracks from my actual hard disk to put them on a new one, will all those markers be saved ?
Hey man where are your new videos with the impulse 200....I was excited to start the 7 days challenge but I can't find them anymore in the djuiced video
Hi DJ Hapa. I have a question for you. I appreciate this video and allows me to figure out where to set my cue points. However, I purchased the CDJ 2000 nexus and I'm only limited to 3 cue points on this device. Where do you recommend setting up the cue points on a cdj?
Either pre-loop a part of the song that has a beat to it and mix in from that and hit a cue point that starts the song ... or you can pre loop the beat of the song thats playing and after a chorus just jump to that beat and mix vocals to it
I like to use the Vinyl to control my music as I was bought up on vinyl mixing. I want to upgrade as I still use SL1, but I want to be able to have more pitch control when using the vinyl and not in internal mode. When using vinyl I can switch between 33 & 45 but I'd like more than the +-8% normally given. Is there any software out there that has this? Thx in advance!
unfortunately there is not a program that will give you that extra pitch control you are looking for. Most DJ controllers have awesome pitch features that will do what you need it to do. Check out this article I found that explains different DJ controllers that has this feature. thedjpro.co/10-dj-controllers/
How about know your music AND set up cue points... People who sample mix and use verses for mash ups will perform alot better setting up cue points and labeling them than "just knowing where the part is".
Hey I have bought a dj mixer the other day and I've downloaded serato dj intro but both decks don't pop up it just says hardware disconnected on top. Can u plz give me advice on what should I do
when ever a turntablist sees me use cue points I get harassed saying real djs don't use it. It's also happening online on you tube to other people. Cue points enhances the vibe of a set so much I don't know what they got against it.
I agree with you! Cue points allow you to do so much more creativity! I have found so many ways to use cue points to impress people. I have SO MANY TIPS lol
YvngVato Editz tbh u just need atleast 4-8 gbs of ram and you should be good u can save up 200-300$ and get u a decent laptop at a pawnshop dont aim for macs bro they arent the ones u need asap
syndromeofadown oh yeah a mac will do just fine im just saying if u cant afford a 800 laptop well thats if u can find a good deal on a mac you can just get a decent laptop from a pawnshop but if u can afford mad yeah bro mac will be just fine its not like u need a monster gaming rig for dj software
syndromeofadown ok get a mac i would say dj deck i recommend either a mixtrack numark pro theres various models or a pioneer ddj sb or sx but just look around on amazon or dj shops online or even pawnshops they have. Equipment sometimes too
syndromeofadown and no problem bro thats what we have to do spread the love and passion for music to keep evolving music and take advantage of this generation this is the the year of electronic its becoming more mainstream and with that u can appeal to more people u can make music or mixes and share it on social media and hey if u get lucky maybe u can find an opprutunity to make money by either djing for shows or signing to a label and making music with other sick artists and overall just having fun with what u do
MediumMemeMaster remember 4 beats to a bar. So 1,2,3,4...2,2,3,4...3,2,3,4...4,2,3,4. The first number would indicate what bar you're counting from. Hope that makes sense :p
Not easy to get someone who knows how to explain like you. very helpful
Thank you!
bro you break it down so easy. You live in NYC or near?
DJ Hapa, I found your method for color-coding entry and exit points in records very helpful. Thank you.
Brazil on your playlist....yess
Seriously a great piece of information, which I never found in my 4 months research. Really easy to understand.
Super helpful... Probably the best I've seen here on youtube. Thank you for your time on helping us little people! :-)

this was abit confusing I'm not understanding how you where counting beats
sir Ferrell Foreal Im Like What The Fuck He Talking About.
sir Ferrell you have to count by bars. Basically in seconds. Out of 4
1234 2234 3234 4234 5234 6234...... beats per sec
duwax Thanks, that helped a lot!
sir Ferrell 8 3 2 1? Wtf count is this!
I'm only 3:17 min in, but I had essentially thought 8 bars make a phrase. So in this case 4 bars make a phrase? Thank you for the content 🙏
really helpful
Hi there DJ Hapa where is the colour coded chart for cue points?
Do cue points allways have to be set on the one
Hapa, what kind of ear monitor are you using? is it a Shure?
are you familiar with virtual dj 8 system and settings etc. ?
Give part 3
Neither of these tracks have a vocal come in until after 8 bars. What should you do when the next song starts out with a vocal?
Either pre-loop a part of the song that has a beat to it and mix in from that and hit a cue point that starts the song ... or you can pre loop the beat of the song thats playing and after a chorus just jump to that beat and mix vocals to it
Do i need to set cue both at the start and the end of each track?
Can I study in ur academy?? I wanna learn so much
Would i need to count the same if the bpm is lower/higher?
where do i start to produce my own track??
Whats the best way to use hot cue's or cue's??? Thanks man. :)
how do I put a cue point before a song in serato dj , before the waveform
Any Idea where is part2 of this video???
Thanks for all the info, I'd like to know why you're calling tracks records? Just curious.
It's dj just common speak lol
rxamusic because they're called records. In the professional music industry, a "song" is known as a record.
rxamusic as in a recorded song. Record.
JoeSkutnik MM. M
Lawsworld what?

Your a god
djing without cuepoints sounds insane
Know your music, not your cue points....
How about know your music AND set up cue points... People who sample mix and use verses for mash ups will perform alot better setting up cue points and labeling them than "just knowing where the part is".
lol seriously?
How is called the ap on the notebook?
If you keep your tracks on a portable hard drive and switch between computers will the que points stay?
Did you ever figure this out
Hey I have bought a dj mixer the other day and I've downloaded serato dj intro but both decks don't pop up it just says hardware disconnected on top. Can u plz give me advice on what should I do
Did you ever figure this out

How to save the bpm because I analyze my folder but after close the program the bpm not appear.
I know this is a question your sick of hearing/reading. But what is the cheapish setup I can get to learn on?
Where can I find the template?
can't i do that without laptop sir
I kind of understood what he was counting at first later though it was just wierd when he started going 2 3 2
Behemoth 1,2,3,4 2,2,3,4 3,2,3,4 4,2,3,4 it helps keep track of what bar in the phrase you are in. Restarts when in new Phrase (section)
