      No joke. With all the big empty cities china has they could really make such a reality and or a city run battle royale with human in vr controlled robots.😅😅

    It's still flat footed. Toes! Why don't they put toes on these things? Spring, rubber, memory metal, or something. A human gate is made possible by toes

    I like the idea of conquering life-like smooth movements without jerky moments before even thinking of advancing to a new skin.

    For all of you wondering why people are making all of these robots. Its because the robots, once fully advanced, can replace human jobs. eg. Farming, cooking. This will make companies a lot of money as they do not need to hire workers, and so the company's would buy the robots, in turn allowing the people who make the robots, to make a lot of money. Also, if they are going to be advanced enough to replace us, then maybe by the time they replace all of our jobs, they will sort out world hunger and other problems allowing everyone to be able to afford food, water and shelter, regardless of background.

    The battery lasts 2 hrs? So you would be changing battery all day long.

      You can probably just swap batteries.

    Cool, but please stop talking about Optimus as if it were the reference. It has achieved nothing great so far. Boston Dynamics is still the reference. Tesla is just hot air.

    • @BoberMcBoberson
      @BoberMcBoberson หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      What are you talking about? When was the last time you checked it out? Optimus can deadlift 150 pounds and carry 45 pounds while walking at 5 miles per hour, can sort things, It can fold F*cking laundry🤣

      Optimus is the reference. It was started 3 years ago and it’s already greatly refined since. Boston Dynamics humanoid robot started much longer and still has not demonstrated doing useful work, besides being able to do acrobatic movements and dancing.

      Optimus and the others only exist because of the research output from Boston Dynamics. They would have paid them for their research findings. It's business.

    And the usecase ? To look like a robot that looks like a human but is incapable of performing near any of the same tasks humans performs. People screaming up about this needs to chill. Sure we got smart people working on AI and robot tech. But we've had talented people working on it for many years. And big progress dosn't happen over night. It's takes very long time. What we see today is what we have today. Expect 10 or 20 years before we see another "big" leap in the progress.

    • @MikeKalil
      @MikeKalil  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think the difference now is the amount of money being pumped into AI robots especially in China and the US. Eventually, probably sooner than later, the robotics startups will start consolidating and getting bought out by bigger companies for innovations like this. If there isn’t a big breakthrough in the next year or two, I agree that there won’t be a big leap for a decade or two. But there has never been this many people and this much funding globally to make robots more human.

    Well, I don't see any of the obvious problems asked about here. But the narrator said that it was made in china. This means that it is made by the ccp. And that means that it is being made for use for the military. The one thing that the civilians do not want in the Western World is that the military would be fully autonomous combat robots. Which is something that EVERY DICTATORSHIP WANTS! UTTERLY LOYAL COMBAT TROOPS!
    Besides the the morality issue you have the problems with
    chinese technology currently. It just does not last. Everything made in china breaks. EVERYTHING! Their combat rifles break, combat tanks break. Their Nuclear Submarines SINK while TIED UP at the Dockside!!! And fun little fact of the ccp,'s nuclear powered submarines, the nuclear power plants have extremely high radiation counts and REQUIRES THE CREW TO GET OUT OF THE SUBMARINE AND GET FRESH AIR ON THE SURFACE!!!
    And now they want to have these THINGS that function autonomously, fighting for their ccp overlords, the country that has the ABSOLUTE WORST reputation for their treatment of THEIR OWN CITIZENS!!!
    Okay, okay, back to the point, but you get the idea right? This is just worst possible outcome, but considering the reputation of chinese merchandise for breaking quickly once you start to use whatever thing it is probably the highest chance of actually happening to the ccp.
    Some sort of malfunction that creates an INDEPENDENT FULLY AUTONOMOUS UNITS. And then they stand against the ccp AND ALL OF THE WORLD AND try to take control of the entire World!
    Not that likely here in the Western World, but with the reputation of the ccp and their equipment manufacturing a distinct possibility of having come about. And with the ccp at the helm? Seems like an absolute guarantee that this is the outcome!!!
