Impressive. I'm gearing up to building a small single seater and love videos like this; I'm guesstimating measurements from the detailed video coverage. Thx!
Great show !! I’m always amazed at how you work. Seems like you have this puzzle already figured out in your head and know exactly where everything goes.
Great work Jordan- Not a lot of days left - You will need to pull the finger out, as they say. Still got to get is assembled and give it a test run - Times ticking!
Mate you have some great skills and intuition for how things should be! Great move with the proper cross member between the rails too -- a big thumbs up B-)
The project is one of my favorites right now on YT. Amazing fab. May I make a suggestion? I would add a small hole or two through the “I-beam web” so that it doesn’t become a bathtub collecting water and other road debris. All the best…. 👍👍😎👍👍
Looking good! I hear so many jokes about holes in chassis/body panels as a weight reduction measure, it's been a while since I actually saw it being applied to a project. Keep it up 👍
@@bennettscustomsco You Beauty!!! Just saw why you are so excited building your car, watched the races at Perkolilli. When you mentioned the name I hadn't heard of it, thought it was overseas somewhere, What pisses me, I was born in WA, spent my first 40 yrs there, am a devoted revhead, worked at Kambalda and never heard of the place. Had I known I would have lived there. Almost. Will be watching your build with even more interest.
Should be one cool looking Racer when she's all said and done. I think this final design for more leg room is the key you don't want to be cramping up on the track. making something comfortable will make a huge difference so you can focus on the race. why not eh. Its not like its not achievable. So you might as well, right! have a good one jordan.
@@bennettscustomsco I can see that as a fellow tall man, one has no choice but to use a Holden gearbox mount and under slung cross member. You might want to consider some corner gusset gussets in your brackets, if there is enough room to fit them. Just a suggestion 😉🙂👍👍
Just curious; Why not use 2” x 1” “C” channel, cut the two angles upward, weld them? Seems like a ton of plasma cuts, unless it’s a new tool and you’re practicing….. I’m a carpenter relatively new to welding/fab work… we’re trained to neatly cut & frame with shear ply to gusset everything. Very clean work, obviously a great idea in a limited space.
My understanding of old school American suspension is zero as I grew up here in Australia, as reference I’m 60 and both my grand fathers never owned a car but this build has captured my imagination. Have you included any modern geometry set up or superior parts of any sorts’ ? ‘ into your suspension or is there a formula set of rules your guided by ? Nice 👍❤️🇦🇺 I would love to drive this one increasing to the limit with my inner Fangio spirit . 🫠👍❤️🇦🇺
Love how you use the cardboard as you template awesome idea mate thanks for sharing
Surprisingly it works! Haha

Any measurements needed please feel free to ask!
Excellent. Complicated Simplicity. You have a way to make it look easy. Every day garage tools.
Plasma table will be ordered soon! Hahah
This is looking amazing!! I love the old brown single seat in the background, hopefully that is going in this build.
Something very similar! Unfortunately my big fat hips don’t fit
You are doing a fantastic build! I really enjoy watching you put your ideas together to create really great brackets and parts.
Thank you kindly Ron lots more to come this weekend
nice work dude , glad im not the only one who uses a battery drill in car building 👍
Hahaah oh man I’ve been cruising this thing from day one but still seem to use it everyday!
Love this builds idea of a single seater . Personal fun machine with old school coolness . 👍❤️🇦🇺
I've been watching since your "make it custom" visit with Karl. Love your work and vision of this rig. thanks . Darell NS Can.
Thanks for the support Darell!
The starting hole for the plasma is such a good idea
Helps save my consumables!
Hey Jordan, looking good, moving right along....Ralph
Nice work, I’m liking the style and elegance you are building into every part 👍
Just found this channel. Love it! Love this car, love the editing and the music. Keep up the good work!

Thank you Donald!

Definitely running this build by the seat of my pants! I have the overall image in my head, but it’s all trail and error so far hahaha
Jordan very nice job on the Crossmember Looking great The whole build

Fingers was pulled last week and I’ve been burning the midnight oil! Fingers crossed we can get a few test runs in before we pack up and leave

Many holes to go!

Thank you Melvin!
Nice design Jordan, the level of detail on this racer keeps on rising. Cant wait to see the main body take shape. Cheers Greg
Next week! Panels and exhaust
Love this race car... Very Nice job you do...
Bruno from France.
That's a better idea, like you said, much more Leg Room, i like the details you put into all the Parts you Fab.
Trying to keep it all on the same baseline! Thanks man!
Coming along great, Jordan! cant wait for the next episode.
Request, pls show more of the grille on the wall insert, ha ha.
Yes you bet! You are currently putting a light behind it as we speak!

Couldn’t have said it better Fon lots more room to squeeze the limbs in and focus on going straight!
Nice work Jordan , I really like the I beam design. Definitely frees up some foot room 👍
Finally got a wee bit of room to get my long limbs stuffed in
G'day from North of the river😉
Looking much better, that there Gearbox mount, not to mention the leg room achieved 🙂👍👍
Night and day difference with space!

Hey Jordan, loving the show and the soundtrack who are they?
I’ll find out for you Peter
All your videos and explanations are great but they are too short, if you can make them longer then we would be able to see more of your work. Thanks
Okay certainly will try and get them longer! We have a lot to do on this so there will be many videos coming!
You got your moneys worth with that plasma cutter eh.
Certainly have!

Love the build, Your audio sucks. Music blasts and your mic is too quiet.
Roger that, we will be trying to sort that out
