Felmay my brother owns a pair of a40s, and I just bought a pair of a10s, and I was doing my own back to back sound test with them, and just becuase they have the same speakers, doesn't mean they sound the same. AT ALL. The a10s sounded really, like, kind of shitty. So I immediately returned them and got some a40s

Personal review: very good build quality. Sound quality is amazing with lots of powerful bass. Can get a little uncomfortable for long periods of use. Microphone is clear and loud and sounds better than in the example

Just to let you guys know I've owned this headset for a while now and the mic sounds nothing like the videos. It's a lot clearer and natural and everyone in my party can hear me loud and well.

KingChoy Mic is awesome, comfort is good, sound is great.
Roclips Playing Battlefield 1, locational awareness was pretty good. My first game, after having not played for a month I placed 4th on my team. It was in large part due to being able to better hear footsteps versus playing with just my soundbar (it's a nice 300 watt LG soundbar).
They aren't as good as good cans with simulated or real surround, but much better than simple speakers.

With a turtle beach amp they sound pretty good. I use these as a replacement for my broken PX22. I personally wouldn’t put them in directly the amp gives them way better clarity.

Frank,I would suggest you doing a sound leak test and putting the mic in different locations (far away from your mouth,near your mouth,and 50/50). Also testing if it can pick up background noice or not.
Might be placebo that he's saying sound quality is only meh because it's exact same sound build as a40's and a50's
I mean, $60 is enough to get a Philips SHP9500s over at NewEgg and for a few more bucks you can plug in a detachable mic which essentially turns it into a headset and it'll sound miles ahead better.

Why? Astros have some of the most durable headsets on the market. The Audio and Mic quality is also really good for the price.

I can name atleast 3 people i know who have had a40s for over 4 years with no problems.
A cloud core costs almost as much as these and sound A LOT better, both in mic and audio quality.

ive heard that the a10s use the same speakers for hearing as the a50s which are about 300 dollars or a bit less i dont know the price that much because i live in the middle east and prices here are a lot different than the uk or the usa so excuse me if the price i mentioned is off and have a great day.
If you're going to use this for both console and PC - get the red ones because they're the only one that comes WITH a headphone spiller at the same $60 price.
Only complaint with this headset is that the top head band isn’t comfortable what so ever and starts digging into the top of your head after long periods of play

The stinger has better sound while the Astros have better mic quality and durability. so if solely for gaming and chat A10's, anything thing else stingers.

I like them but do find hearing other mics a little tricky as sound is a bit shallow.

I have this headset I would say it’s durable and will last you long but as it is cheap it isn’t sound cancelling and the audio isn’t of the greatest quality, but for the money in comparison to other headsets at its price point I would recommend and if you easily break your headset (like me) I would still say you should buy these as they have lasted the longest out of any of my headsets for xbox.🔥

Mics ran through pc compared to console are two different things, pc doesn’t capture mic quality as well as console does

Got the A10, used it for probably 10 months, and when I got my new pc, it wouldn’t pick up my voice for Disc or for recording. I now have to buy a different headset. The A10 sounded awesome and felt so comfy. It was also very flexible. It was a very nice headset. If anyone can help me, what happened?

These have the same speakers as the a40 I picked these up when I sent my a40s in for warranty and these plugged into a mix amp are great I felt no difference in sound

Thank you for giving an honest review about the sound quality. I've seen so many other review saying they sound the exact same as the a40s. I bought a pair of a10s and did a back to back sound comparison with a10s and a40s and it's safe to say that anyone who thinks they sound the same is delusional. It was COMPLETELY different, save some extra money for the a40s kids.

Randomfrankp These are some very well built gaming headsets, and the audio is perfectly fine!. You can't compare Astro 10's gaming headset to your long list of reviews, that's so "Overrated". If you guys want a well built, reliable, comfortable, and affordable headset the A10's are the way to go, trust me I just bought a pair, and I'm a Astro customer for life now.

This Guy you get the sane speaker in the a40 but the a10 is a stereo and the a40 can have surround sound with the mix amp but you can here evrythjng in this headset
you can also connect the A10 to a surround sound Dolby digital sound card and get the same experience. @@auronbaldwin1
