This was a perfect way to start a snowy day here in PA - you brought the sunshine and sense of adventure back, felt like I was hiking along. Great filming.👍
we really dont ever own anything or any one and when we shed are self from the material word it brings us to place , like a rig where we can see the bigger picture. ty for the vid hawk less is more
Great video! What an awesome place to hike! I need to get outdoors soon - this going to work work and then home in the dark and cold weather is killing me! At least I get out each morning to run or work out. I hear you on the downsizing. I am re-prioritizing as well. But I got a long way to go. Happy hiking!
sounds like you are getting very close to total trail enlightenment...also glad to hear you are going to hike the AT again (hoping to see a repeat YO-YO from you) anyway thanks for taking us along on this little gem of a hike
My Guyy Hawk. Met you on the At/Longtrail last summer Best trail magic to date with Moose & Mile killer. We took a selfie (fan girl moment ) you gave me some words of wisdom an now I’m Hiking the AT early springtime . Legit the spark that set it on fire ....Keeep on keeping man deff will run into you again Mahalo brotha CrabMan
For a second I thought you were back in THE Foothills Trail. This was a great trail and super nice waterfalls. Great to see you out there, made my day. Keep enjoying and thanks for sharing.
What an awesome day trip❣️👍👍 be-au-ti-ful falls, man, and those cliffs laden with icicles, 👊🏻😍 gorgeous❣️That was a 😎 trail❣️Thanks for taking us, Hawk, be safe 👍🙂 definitely lovin your intro and extro, especially the Hawk template in the extro 👊🏻
Enjoyed your little philosophical ramble at the end there, Craig. Reminded me of the one you had in my neck of the woods in Lickdale last year. Great stuff.
Nothing like a HAWK Video to pass the time til Super Bowl Kickoff. Just got the HAWK Calendar and figured I would only have it for the last 10 months of the year, but was pleasantly surprised that they sent me a MARCH to FEBRUARY 2022 VERSION. . . . .Look forward to chasing you down this Spring as you make it to the New England portion of the AT.
That was a great trail! I’m pretty sure that extensive warning for the difficulty of the pink blaze trail is for people like me not a multi AT finisher. :) That waterfall/bridge area was perfect for a coffee break. The older I get the less “stuff” I want so I appreciate your deep thoughts. Thanks for sharing this beautiful trail with us!
Did you love it? One of my favorite falls! So happy to see you enjoying my neck of the woods!!! In that area there is over 300 waterfalls! Great to see you out there!
Waiting a little longer for the AT this year is definitely a good plan. Three youtubers I have been following this year have already dropped out dealing with the load of snow that hit the Smokies. Give it a couple weeks more to melt off so you don't have a repeat of the Whites in 2019. :-)
If you want a decent overnight trip, look into the Art Loeb trail. It is just over 30 miles in length and not far from where you were hiking in this video. If you do it make sure to take .2 to the top of shining rock.
Love the new intro and outro and the new logo! When's the merchandise coming with the logo. Esp. stickers! Thanks again for taking us along. I wish I could get out more, but at least I can watch your videos.
So with you on the snow issue. We just got slammed in the Lehigh Valley, PA area with about 2 feet of snow. Can't wait for spring. That was a really beautiful loop. Loved that bridge. Must have been quite an undertaking to build it.
Hawk, absolutely gorgeous video again. Be grateful that you are not in Michigan, it cold and snowy. I am in southeast Michigan and with the wind chill it is going to be subzero temperatures.
My husband's tools and my dad's tools were too much for me to lug as well. Had a big yard sale. Left a lot of them with a friend who has kept and sold some at their own profit. Sey la vee and k Sarra...ya know 🥴 I wanted over the headache of it all. Plus, I hate renting storage sheds. Oh and you picked a great spot to relax and enjoy that coffee.
Nice to see you back on trail. I can think of two letters that would make you happy besides the trail...KT...LOL! Nice trail and nice waterfall. Can you imagine if the entire AT was groomed like this trail? How many more people would be on it? Thanks for the trail time. John from MI
Great video and been wanting to do that hike for awhile myself. You know there are other trails at Table Rock State Park besides the Foothills Trail that you did that you would like also for fun challenging day hikes and in the same area as Cesars Head.
I had no idea where you were (I’ve never researched Ceasers Head SP) but as soon as you showed those falls I realized that you had to be close to the Foothills Trail which I know you hooked up to later in the video. I had just watched another TH-camr named Meandering Megan who is/was doing the Foothills Trail (which you would most likely LOVE!). She showed that same waterfall but from the bottom looking up. I think it was her “Day 4” video if you want to check it out. Great intro & outro. Can’t wait for more. Hike on!
Thanks for sharing Craig atb Steve. Sheffield ,England very jealous at the moment been in lockdown since 5th Nov so not been able to go hiking to my local national park the peak district
Thanks for video- pretty trail. But regarding the intro, it’s neat once or twice, but it’s a little too long and a lot too loud. Sorry about the complaint- okay to ignore me- I will still keep watching!!
So how many hours did you take vs the recommendation ? 😂🤣 you have me laughing 😅😅 ‘It can’t take that long’ 🤨 I hope it’s strenuous’ 🤷♂️ 🤣🤣very cool trail, must be a dangerous climb to the bottom of those falls....and you have some very interesting ramblings 🤔👍 you changing your life as we watch...🙏
Man, what a beautiful trail. And you sure had a nice day to romp around the woods. Wouldn't get those views during the growing seasons. That new intro is so different from the way you always started your videos. Sounds like you are starting a very masculine commercial for a beer, or heavy machinery. Just saying.
one of the things I love about you Hawk is you love america just like me. and it is the way it should be.
Nice trail with really cool waterfalls and views. Thanks for sharing. 👍😎
U are 1 of a kind love yu quicksand Katie. Daisy wander woman all amazing hikers and etc god bless yu hawk
Thanks for hiking those "unknown" trails & the info! Good to have some day hike options for sure! 😎✌️
I love the introspection on material things (and of course the falls and icy cliff) that you shared.
Less stuff = true freedom
Oh I so agree with that line , less stuff= more freedom!!!!!! So true....I am working on the less stuff part seeking the freedom!
That comment hit home as well. It's just stuff that's dragging us down.
Awesome footage, cool.loop trail buddy👊👍🇺🇸
Great trail. Love that swinging bridge. I laughed at the pink blaze comment 🤣.
This was a perfect way to start a snowy day here in PA - you brought the sunshine and sense of adventure back, felt like I was hiking along. Great filming.👍
Wow loved the falls. Thanks for sharing with us. Have a great day.
cool outro.....impressive trial and hike...good job !!
Great hike! And I love the intro 👍🏻

I literally choked on my water with the pink blazing comment. Hilarious 😂 It’s nice to see my home state represented. As always, thanks for sharing.

Love. The waterfalls, so pretty and peaceful.Beautiful, sunny day. We are expecting more snow Sunday here in the Big Apple.

I like that Hawk logo👍👍
Awesome intro Hawk!!!😎🙌🏻Loved the video🧡
What a fantastic day hike. Parts are so primitive. What a great adventure!

Great hike Hawk. Looking forward to following your AT hike. Take care and happy trails.
I love that place and that whole area been awhile since I have been back but it is awesome!
Your introduction is so sweet. I absolutely love it.

had to watch the intro 3 times before I got started with your video this morning! + + +
Thanks for the video! Yeah, got get back to downsizing. Get rid of stuff, spend more time in the woods!
Nice intro. Love the hawk symbol in the outro.
Hawk, absolutely gorgeous video again. Be grateful that you are not in Michigan, it cold and snowy. I am in southeast Michigan and with the wind chill it is going to be subzero temperatures.
Stranger danger?. Don't these people realize that they have met the Hawk in his natural environment? Guess not.

Beautiful hike. Do you know if there was camping anywhere along that trail? Great Job. 👍👍✌️
I didn’t see any established campsites on this part...but you could probably make some spots work!
@@CraigMains Thanks Hawk. I just looked up Caesar’s Head State Park & I guess there’s 18 primitive campsites you can reserve. 👍
Nice hike today, thanks
Pink blazing is the best 👌 💓
Rock Star Intro! I like it! 🇺🇸
What a cool trail

I already did the Foothills Trail!
@@CraigMains hahaha...OMG! That's right! I feel like an idiot! Hahahaha...
Thanks for sharing Craig atb Steve. Sheffield ,England very jealous at the moment been in lockdown since 5th Nov so not been able to go hiking to my local national park the peak district
S Clark- my good friend is from Sheffield lol- and sorry about your lockdown! At least we have Hawk to watch! He makes you smile.
U are awesom
I don’t think I’d want to stand under all that ice in SC🙄. Another few states north maybe, but not SC. Nice day in a great state.
Hello Hawk, do you ever do any trails in West Virginia? I am soon to be 68 and watching you makes me want to start hiking.
I’ve only been on the AT in West Virginia...but I’m not opposed to hiking there!
Quick sand on at right now getting ready hit the smokies
Interesting there are purple blazes. Most places purple blazes mean no trespassing.
Thanks for video- pretty trail. But regarding the intro, it’s neat once or twice, but it’s a little too long and a lot too loud. Sorry about the complaint- okay to ignore me- I will still keep watching!!
like the zoom in sound affects lol

When are you starting the AT?
Sometime around the first week of March!
14 " of snow on Smokey's
End of the day recap?
I didn’t really know how many miles I did...I think it was around 10...but not sure!
🙂👊🏻
