I camped this spot last weekend and it was awesome! If you look straight up towards the northwest you have a perfect view on the Big Dipper. Thanks for sharing the location.
Lovely video; great information. This is the exact loop I hope to take in a couple of weeks with my Australian Shepherd. I just know if I can get him to go up the metal, see-through stairs up to Auxier Ridge. Thanks for sharing this.
One thing to note, there is a widow maker in this campsite to be aware of. It is right next to a spot that is where it looks like most people put their tents. You will see the base of a small tree that has been eaten away by insects. When we were there, it was eaten about 2/3 of the way through. We set up our tent back further by the trail to stay clear of it.

No problem. I’m glad you had a good time.
Fantastic intro with the regulations and I love the reminder to leave no trace! TY
Tuck is a champ. And the cutest pup ever. That camping spot looks incredible!

Our dog was very confused by the see through steps but we were able to get him to go up them very slowly.

Where exactly did you park at
We parked at the Auxier Ridge Trailhead!
Would you private message me the exact coordinates to that spot? I'm going in a few weeks and trying to my plan down before we head out
coordinates are in the description of the video.
