I wouldn't say thats necessarily true. It's just the tournaments have gotten so much bigger its near impossible to final table now. Having 10 times (or more ) the number of entries means you will have to get lucky multiple times to even have a chance at the final table, you can't just play well also have to get very lucky

Aces is still the best starting hand and always will be . And even styles of play are limited to a large degree . Therefore there’s no way the game is changing at lightning speed .
