Thank you! These never dry, right? What about when mixed with turpentine or linseed, or even fast drying oil paint mediums? I am in Belgium, i think we don't have gamsol here. My point is to somehow mix them with oil color, acrylics, and oil bar which is super expensive. Even for large scale stores drawing on paper. Lots of thanks, Best wishes!
Gamsol is like mineral spirit, turpentine and maybe an oil thinning medium definitely works, linseed oil works, but it’s pretty thick, hard to spread it out and you might end up with oily stains on the paper. Oils and acrylics dry, I wouldn’t mix it with pastels. You can definitely enhance your work with some(smaller details) acrylics, I prefer to add pastels on top of colored pencils or on top of acrylics (completely dry).
@@artsymbol2560 thank you. Conservation of oil pastel art work is definitely a problem, as far as I can see, not knowing much. You work on canvas with them, possibly best lightfast pigments under glass can work.
i've been thinking today to get my oil pastels out again, haven't used them for a while and really need the practice 😀
:) I know! That was actually fun, make something funky!!
